Hurray for Hurrah’s!

Bear with me, it has been over 5 years since I’ve been here, so I don’t remember much. But this was my first casino that I visited for my travel list. Was it awesome? Did it set a precedence for future casinos?

From what I remember, it was a pretty nice casino. Parking was a bit odd, but there was a parking deck that we eventually parked in that is right across from the casino. So that’s pretty handy. The casino itself was pretty decent. I remember us walking through rows of machines and taking in the cool, if not funny, variations of the machines they had. We played on some Kitty machines, lost a few bucks, and had a good time.

Overall, we maybe only spent 45-60 minutes in the casino. We signed up for the rewards program, gambled a bit, explored the casino and then made our farewell. It was a pretty nice casino from what I remember. Illinois has a No Indoor Smoking policy which is great if you are a non-smoker like myself. Wish I could remember more, but check it out if you have that gambling itch and are...

Harrahs just evicted me. This is a pattern of harassment both my grandmother and I have experienced. They are very prejudice and predictable here. There has to be some kind of prostitution going on there because they need to know about every conversation that happens. On two occasions they approached my Grandmother asking her what her conversation was about. Both times they were about nothing involving the casino. On another occasion I was waiting for my grandmother’s arrival and accused of loitering. I was informed I needed to be “eating, drinking, or gambling”. So I buy a coffee and send my emails while waiting on my grandma who is a player’s card holder. They know who she is and they know we are not there soliciting or doing anything they seem to be afraid we’re doing. The behavior has to be threatening enough to where a reasonable person would feel unsafe. Sending emails, away from the players is not threatening… They have the right to inquire, but not to harass...

I stayed here because I thought this place would be clean and safe. Robbery started at the front desk. I came to stay for a week. Asked for smoking room which they kindly informed me would be $40 a night. When I explained a little bit of something is better than nothing and that I would cancel my reservations? Then the cigarette smoking room was free? No room was not clean. Stayed a week with gimmicks of charging my card fees or movies or anything to take attention from filthy place. Did not change sheets 1 time! 7 days of the same sheets Sewer smell from bathroom and in room where ice dispensary is. I pass on the people who only wants money! You don't care about your customers or your employees. Your representative had the nerve to tell me I needed to leave the room in order to receive clean towels? Another one that checked me in told me I was watching a movie and she was tired of hearing from me. The Nerve! I pass! $1200 and dirty room? Find somewhere...

The staff is super nice and professional not only at the front desk for the hotel side but also at the casino as well. We were able to check in a little early though there is a fee depending on how early you are. The room we were in was nice and clean with a nice few of the river. Security on the building is great, you need you room key for the elevator and you can only go on the floor you room is. The restaurants in the building have great food and service was great. The parking garage is free and has a skywalk on the third floor so you don't have to cross the busy street.
