The only reason this particular Kohls location got two stars instead of one is that my cashier was excellent. The aisles are packed so close together it’s nearly impossible to push a cart. Never mind that we’re currently in a global pandemic - this store is in blatant disregard of the Americans with Disabilities Act. As I was getting ready to head to checkout, I noticed a man talking with the employee who’s supposed to make sure everyone has a mask on. Problem is, the man did not have a mask on, and the employee was wearing a bandana, which anyone who’s followed the news for the past 10 months knows is not sufficient protection. I know that sometimes people forget their masks, and I waited for a bit to see if the employee would say anything (she didn’t), and politely told the man he didn’t have his mask on. He proudly told me he didn’t. I pointed out the signs on the door say everyone must wear a mask to enter. He said he wasn’t in the store; he was in the store, and I pointed that out to him. He then forcefully coughed several times with his mouth open, purposefully in my direction, but I was quite far away, and it only ended up going into the employee’s face. It was that point when she told him he needed to put his mask on, which was a good 9 minutes after he had been in the store. Read moreI visited the Joliet store today to purchase and return some jewelry. I'm a hispanic customer that frequents this store very often. I brought three pieces of jewelry to return, for the first piece the associate scanned the wrong receipt with the wrong pair of earrings and the transaction was voided. When I got home, I checked my Kohl's account and I noticed that I didn't received the refund for this transaction. I went back to the store and, I explained the associate what had just happened. The manager Dannete from Peoria IL came and started questioning about the transaction, not just following the protocol but making allusion as if I was trying to take advantage from the store. I do not know what's the stereotype that this person has about hispanics, but what I do know is that if she is going to be working in customer service she should know that the money carries the same purchasing power regardless of the race of the person who has it. On September 3rd I returned my Amazon package had her scan both QR codes and yet still they have only received one of my items. I’m missing out on $50 dollars because she wanted to put the items in the same box when clearly they needed separate boxes because they were going to different places. This is so unprofessional and unfair that I lose money because your kohls employee for Amazon customer service DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO DO HER JOB!
UPDATE- I did get a return receipt. Your employee put both items into the same box which made one go missing is shipment. I was on the phone nearly 3 hours. I work for Amazon if they have 2 different QR codes they are suppose to go in separate boxes because they are going to 2 different warehouses.
