Gryphon Shopping Center — Local services in Joplin

I very much enjoy going in this building with my sons. The restoration is so thoughtful, beautiful, and useful. It’s always clean. The public bathrooms are elegant and spacious. The shops seem as if they were carefully chosen for an aesthetic that transports you back.,.. well, I’m not sure the restaurant transports you to a time from past,.. but the old time ice cream shop, Sweet Caroline’s, and the Brush And Blade hairstylists do. And even the Art Shop, Colors, does.

We like to take a look at all the interesting details in the architecture of the building, but also look at the many old black and white photos from previous use of the building.

The entry doors located on three sides of the building are these very old very very large solid doors with very large panes of glass in them. Original to the building. They open into an entry area. So thoughtful because the interior of the building is nice and warm in the winter considering if you open does that large waiting for your family to enter, the whole place would be cold!

There's a Very Good candy store inside, and doctors in the basement ... Another restaurant that sells hamburgers... The building is great and has had a history since about 1890... It's a nice building that we did it I stopped in the other day and ice cream store and the lady was very helpful very polite and even directed me to where she thought they would have what I needed which I really appreciate when you want to another company and I tell you those things it's like no not here but I think they might hear so yes if you're going shopping downtown area stop by that building is really cool there's restaurants and shopping and like they say bring your...
