When I walked in here with my friends, I could tell this was a religious establishment but thought I'd still give it a chance because I can still appreciate and enjoy coffee no matter who makes it, apparently I shouldn't have even wasted my time here. I was displeased. Waste of $6. I ordered the twix latte and it honestly had zero flavor. I was disappointed. Not to mention the fact that there weren't any fresh pastries or treats for me to eat. I'm not religious and was unaware of the fact that this place was ran by Christians before arriving. I was raised in a religious household and have religious family. I fully support people expressing religion but do not write a Bible verse on a cup of coffee. I came here with two of my friends and was the only one with a verse written on my cup. I guess if you don't look like a God fearing individual, you will be singled out. I don't usually write reviews but I drove an hour and thirty minutes to try a new coffee place and hangout with my friend but got terrible coffee and a Bible verse. Go to Joplin Greenhouse, they have delicious food, great beverages, wonderful atmosphere, and you won't feel unwelcomed for...
Read moreBeen here a couple times now and can say it'll be a regular stop- it's over on 9th and main. There are plenty of coffee places in town and yes, most people are in a rush so atmosphere and staff attentiveness aren't always needed, but many places have young robots working behind the counter; they dont emote, say anything, or smile and most times are on their phone. I was greeted here both times and John showed me around the place and was proud of his craftmanship (he did all the woodwork on his own). It's a great place designed to hang out and relax if you have OR get in and get out. Oh yeah, the coffee is awesome too! I got a cayenne pepper drink that was great for an icy day and then the second time I got a gingerbread tasting latte that was baller. Keep up...
Read moreSuch a welcoming delicious place. I’d like to emphasize, that I’ve been here numerous times and have NEVER felt unwelcomed. I am not a religious person by any means but to anyone complaining of the bible verses on the cups or the religious vibes, you’re entitled to a religion free life but not a religion free world!! Saying you don’t like a coffee shop because of their freedom to express their religion is not only ridiculous but also disgusting. Again, i’m the least religious person but I will not stand slander on something that is not hurting anyone. Sometimes your cup has a bible verse, sometimes it doesn’t… So what!!! It’s not hurting anyone. Highly recommend it here. Such a great price for yummy coffee and so many sugar free options. Best...
