Hobby Lobby — Local services in Joplin

I purchase a photo album that didn’t have plastic on the outside but it was the only one they had so I purchased it, at the time of purchase it did have lots of lint and what looked like dog hair on it but I thought I could just take a lint roller to it so really wasn’t worried about it. I got home with it and went to put pictures in it that’s when I found out the inside ring won’t close all the way so when you turned the page it fell apart. I went back to store to exchange it with my receipt and was told that I couldn’t return it with all the lint and hair in it, when I told her that I purchased it that way she told me no I didn’t, and since the price wasn’t on item she didn’t know how much I paid for it even through the receipt was right I. Front of her. She called the lady would worked that department and that lady told her that yes that item was put in the shelf and sold just like I brought it back so she reluctantly decided to exchange item. If it wasn’t for her own staff saying item was purchased like that I wouldn’t of gotten to exchange it. It was ok for store to sell item that way but not return it. Customer service is beyond important. Will not even return to this store again. Sad...

This store sucks. Every single time I come in here. I get followed around like I'm a criminal. I don't steal anything from anyone. Not has that even crossed my mind....but it sure crosses the employees at this location. I just feel attacked in a way. It's one thing to follow someone around once or twice, but when it comes to the 20th time of being here and it's always the same 3 employees who follow me around, I just feel like I'm not welcomed here or something. My family and I have always spent a lot of money here and I just don't understand why I feel very unwelcomed every time I come here. I don't dress badly or look like I'm stealing. At least I do not believe I do anyways. I just don't get it. Probably won't ever come back here again. I decided to maybe wait a couple of months in between each visit ... But that does no good. I have stolen 1 time when I was a kid in the grocery store and my mother made me return it and I learned my lesson. I would never steal or take anything. It sucks because I used to love this store and being in this store. The employees used to be so pleasant. But my mind has seriously changed...

I gave Hobby Lobby 4 stars for one reason: I wish their Friday & Saturday closing time was later, instead of shutting their doors at 8:00 p.m. Other than that, I have no complaints! Their decor is great, and nearly all store products are always 40% off! To me, that qualifies as “amazing,” Haha! You’ve got to be careful though when stepping into a Hobby Lobby, because the following is VERY easy to do: Myself, and/or my family end up going over our budget on almost every trip there, mostly because of two key reasons (in my opinion): Their inventory is always changing, and second; the company’s “merchandise purchasers” make sure their store’s products are relevant, by stocking the shelves with items that complement any decorative look you are building upon, or going after!

(embarrassing side note: Because they always have so much to look at - it’s without fail that the “shopping excitement,” prompts my mom to use the restroom every time we’re in a Hobby...
