I was really disappointed with me and my son's experience here. It was steady but not busy either. Service started out good and was able to take our order promptly. We had the pick 6 with 2 orders of Caribbean Jerk wings and I ordered wedges and my son order fries and both of us confirmed ranch for the wings. Well my son accidently spilled his beverage and we had to get the server's attention because we used up all our napkins cleaning it up. Most restaurants I've been to with table service assists or at least offer to assist to help clean up but unfortunately that didn't happen but at least she brought us a handful of new napkins.
It seem to take awhile for our order to come out and when it was brought out there was no ranch sauce, and both were served with wedges when we ordered one with wedges and the other with fries. Normally i would expect the server to ask if there was anything they could get us but they just dropped off the plates and left. This worker bringing out the food was different from our server. When our normal server went to take the new guest's order right next to us, i was going to tell her about the ranch and that we've been ready for a refill. All she had to do is turnaround but she didn't and walked off. Then she went around checking with all the other guests in her section except for us. I tried to be very courteous of her "flow" but i finally had to get her attention for the ranch and refills and not even bother with the fries and wedges issue. By the time we finally got the ranch and refills the wings were already cold to give you an idea of how long it took to get service.
As far as the food, I've had a lot of food with Caribbean Jerk and that did not taste like Caribbean Jerk. It was very spicy with lingering/overpowering taste of what i can best describe as clove. It was almost not palable without the ranch. At least the chicken was cooked thoroughly and not a lot of overcooked and none was undercooked. In the server's defense, i asked if that was even caribbean jerk and she never tried it so she would not know. She did offer to send it back for a different flavor, but I respectfully declined because i did not want to wait as long as we did.
So all and all, it was a less than satisfactory experience between the service, quality and time. I was really hoping things would have got better after the first incident but they actually went more downhill. I would have been more understanding if they were completely packed and trying to get through customers as quick as they can but this was not case when...
Read moreI don't normally post ratings but I was infuriated. Last night my husband and I and brother in law went to bw's last night around 3ish. It took about 5 minutes for the server to come to our table to get our drink orders. My husband asked for unsweetened tea and I a lemonade. It took another 5 minutes for our drinks to come. When they did finally come the server never asked if he needed sweetener for his tea and there was no Ice left in the glass and the tea was warm. Several minutes later the server finally came to take our order. My husband and I ordered the 19.99 dinner for 2. Wings a burger fries and wedges. 15 minutes later the food finally came without the fries saying that they were making new ones and it would be a few minutes. Everything was cold. I asked for onion on the side which they did but the onions were grilled so I asked for raw onion and was told that they only had grilled onion...(don't you have to have raw onions to make grilled onions?). But I said whatever and tried to eat my Luke warm burger. The wedges looked and felt like mummified wedges. The only decent thing about it was the fresh fries that came almost 10 minutes after the rest of the meal. I also asked for sweetener and a glass of ice for my husbands tea and it took at least 3 minutes or more for him to bring the ice and then he had to back and get the sweetener. We asked for pink but he brought yellow. By this time I gave up. Just trying to get through the meal. Now with this being said I rarely ever NOT tip. I grew up in the restaurant business and know it's not fair to take kitchen issues out on the server but my god it was both. The service was horrible AND the food was awful. I will...
Read moreI used to love BWW, the Tuesday and Thursday wing specials are a great deal, and their sauces are great. However, I went back for the first time in years today, and had a miserable experience. I'm not sure if they were just short staffed, or if it was an off day, or what. We arrived at 5:45, and after waiting about ten minutes to be greeted, we're told it would be 30-40 minutes. No big deal, we decided to wait, since it's where my son chose to eat for his birthday.
We were actually seated much quicker, after about 15 minutes, which was a nice surprise, and we're promptly greeted by our server. He explained it was only his second day, but was very kind and seemed to be doing his best, but he was so incredibly busy, he was only able to check on us every 15 minutes or so. No fault of his own, like I said, he was great, but no server should be so overworked that they can only check on their tables every 15 minutes.
We ordered our food, got our wings, then had to wait several more minutes for my son's cheeseburger. Not sure what was up with that... Then, the boneless wings seemed to be very sparingly sauced. It was like you had one fast food sauce packet, that you had to spread across ten wings. Not at all how I remembered their wings used to be.
After eating, then the wait began for our check, then box, then receipt. Every step in the whole process took forever. Eventually, we were able to leave shortly after 8:00PM, two hours and 15 minutes after we arrived.
I don't think we'll be back in to eat again after tonight. I think next time I'll just to a...
