Sofa City — Local services in Joplin

Actually went in with my wife as she was looking for a job. Manager said oh yes put in your app and we will definitely get ya in for an interview as they were scheduling interviews for the following week. Flat out lies. Never called let alone have any indication of letting her know why. Most likely had to do with a former FFO and American Freight employee who likes to lie about me and he really doesn't know what's been going on in the past several years. As a matter of fact he cost both stores sale that we would have bought. One over $3000 and another over $2000. Wayside was happy to get our money and probably will again. Btw putting a warehouse guy on the floor as sales and not doing product training is stupid. Also folks they are taking tactics from FFO sales manual to a point and as you see FFO is gone as is American Freight. Also want to know why the owner responds to good reviews and ignores ones that aren't good. The very fact your manager lied to me and my wife makes my mind up about buying at Sofa City. There's a saying that is make someone happy they tell a few. Make someone mad and they tell everyone they meet in detail. We have plans, real plans towards the end of this year to furnish our house with new furniture. Just because my wife would something different. This is the third time we went in and Javier would be with a customer and actually be looking at us with a snarky look and actually talking to the customer about us, mainly me. He thinks he knows what happened to me years ago but he has no clue. My health has been going downhill for years and still is. Currently laying in the hospital typing this. How professional is it for a salesman to be talking to a customer about a person who did nothing to deserve it and that he has no clue what he is talking about. It's not the first time either. Mr. Owner you have a problem with a salesman and him committing defamation of a customer. Fyi I actually have quite a bit of money being paid from a Mesh settlement towards the end of this year first of next. Like I said Andrew had helped us pick some things out my wife and I like very much and your other salesman has made us decide to shop some more. Last time it was American Freight and we left after same person did the same thing and spent over $3000 at Wayside and over $2000 in Arkansas. This time I don't know who will get our money but I am very upset not to get a response from you Mr. Owner and am considering some other action. Going to...

I went in to Sofa City a few weeks ago with one of my individuals and a tight budget. I spoke to a lovely young man named Andrew and explained our budget situation. He went and got his very kind manager, Kathy, to talk with me and help us find a comfortable chair within our budget. We got a couple of quotes and Andrew very kindly offered to deliver it himself when we came in to pay. After couple of weeks later we came in to get the chair, I contacted Andrew to set up a delivery date. This delightful gentleman delivered it on his day off AND put the chair together for my individual! He truly went above and beyond his role as a salesman and my individual loves his chair! Sofa City will definitely continue to receive our business and I’ve already let my supervisors and coworkers know what a wonderful store this is to get furniture. The most pleasant experience. Chris was an amazing help to my husband and I along with his wonderful store manager. ( I did not get her name) we purchased 2 recliners and a sofa they were not a set. We wanted to see their colors together Chris removed the back of the recliner and took it across the store to put with the sofa so we could see what they looked like together. His manager brought over server other throw pillows to show us other sofa color options. Top notch customer service I will share with everyone if you are looking for anything new start and end here.
