I ordered hot & sour soup last night & was told it'd be 15-20 mins & to park behind building & it would be walked out to me. Less than 5 mins later I was presented with my order. Turns out I was given a sweet but spicy eggdrop soup. Didn't realize until I got home & called the store to fix the problem, but they had closed for the evening. I called today to ask why I was served Sweet & spicy egg drop soup in place of the hot & sour that I ordered. The response I received was "well sometimes we make mistakes". If I cared to return the eggdrop soup they would be more than happy to replace with a hot & sour soup. I don't know how many people that have EVER been served eggdrop soup that is sweet & spicy. Most certainly was not a mistake. I believe they figured that no one would notice. I personally would prefer to be told that a restaurant is out of something so that I can make an informed decision about my meals. I am scoring poorly for this restaurant simply for the customer service. I have not had issues with...

Background: I love food and so does my husband. We're both fans of American Chinese cuisine.
The First time: This is the worst Chinese I've had in Joplin, and I've eaten at almost every Chinese place but my husband was on the fence.
Second Time: My husband went through the drive-thru, ordered General Chicken and paid for it. He proceeded to wait at the window. After 30 minutes, he tried to get the girl's attention at the window several times, she just looked at him and looked away. After 1 hour of waiting, (I have no clue why he stuck around that long, either. Apparently he was giving them a huge chance to redeem themselves with the food.) he lost patience, parked and went inside to ask for a refund. The response of the woman there was, "It's been done for a while", he was handed the bag, and then she walked away. The food was cold and my husband was not refunded. Needless to say, we won't...
Read moreNothing to write home about. I had a party of three, each of us got a different chicken dish. One lemon chicken, one general Tsao’s, and I got cashew chicken. The chicken was essentially the same in each dish and they just poured big globules of sauce on top with light garnishes of green onion and cashews(for me). The lemon chicken was nearly inedible. The cashew chicken wasn’t the worst I’ve had. The general Tsao’s I didn’t try but my lunch partner said it wasn’t amazing. The side of rice they give you wasn’t bad. The Crab Rangoon's are VERY GOOD. It’s the holy grail of the whole joint.
Overall it’s not bad, prices are great, you get what you pay for. Are there better alternatives in the Joplin area for Chinese? Absolutely. But if you want to stop somewhere for a cheap, quick bite to eat, then go for it. They also have a drive through if I’m...
