I get very simple haircuts. After going there for some time, I realized that I had been paying for a full haircut and what I was getting was actually a buzz cut, which is a couple dollars cheaper. This was never mentioned to me. Okay, whatever. Next time I got a haircut, I picked buzz cut from the online form and paid the buzz cut price. The very next time I book a haircut, the buzz cut option has been removed entirely. Hmm, curious.

I always went there and took my kids there because my wife read that Cody was good at cutting kids' hair. However, it started getting very difficult to book Cody. He seems to only be available a couple days a week now. Okay, whatever, we carry on.

I was one of the shop's first customers and I always tipped way too much simply to support a new business. Anyway, one day I decided to do a walk in for my son. We were out and about in the area, and he needed a haircut. I walk in to find the place completely empty except for Cody. Not one single customer. He tells me he can't give my son a haircut, he's booked solid all day, and not in a very nice tone either. Didn't appreciate the tone at all and probably would have called him on it if I wasn't with my four year old son, especially after how well I had treated him.

Giving him the benefit of the doubt, I assume what has happened is that he has become a victim of his own success. He's bitten off more than he can chew and now he's overwhelmed, which explains the attitude.

Either way, the lack of availability of Cody has removed my reason for choosing the place, which was his supposed ability to deal with kids. For that...

I didn't know, when I made the appt with Kayla, that I'd be the 1st person she'd done color on in that salon. My cousin and I went together. Both of us are still struggling with what used to be beautiful, easily maintained hair. We should've left after their 1st attempt! After 6 hrs, to do simple highlights, we left the salon in tears. I had chunky bright yellow hair, and my cousin had gray chunks!! Months later, Its still a constant battle to style all the broken, damaged , thinning hair from the perm that Kayla put on only the front, to extract the color?! My scalp was burned and still has bumps. I lost a bunch of hair in the front. Every time I look in the mirror, I see all these short, broken pieces of hair sticking out in every untamable direction, and the trauma and disappointment hits me all over again! I've never had to deal with this sort of damage before, especially after spending the amount of money I did! I'm terrified to put heat on it bcus I don't wanna damage it further. I wish it would allow me to show pictures. Please, save yourself the trauma and heartache, and spend a little extra and go to an actual professional stylist! OK Google, I've been in the hospital 3 months with a severe infection and at home 2 months recovering. So, I haven't had a professional hair cut and beard trim in over 5 months. This was my first time at Deep Roots. My wife has been here a few times. To get her recommendation takes a lot. I used Cody, who did a marvelous job. Even without seeing him cutting my hair, I could tell that he was following my instructions. He also trimmed my eyebrows and mustache. He used a mustache style that I haven't used before. I love it.
