Prior to driving an hour and 30 minutes each way, I called the store to get ask if they would be interested in the item/items that I was considering selling. They confirmed that they were interested and stated that even though they couldn’t give me an offer amount over the phone, they ensured me that they would definitely pay over a certain amount. They asked that I completely assemble one of the other items I was considering selling, prior to bringing it in, so I spent hours doing just that. I called multiple times to confirm what time they wanted me to come, so that the owner would be there when I arrived. After spending hours building the set as requested, taking the afternoon off of work, and driving a total of three hours, I was told that they would only be willing to offer somewhere in the range of thirty cents on the dollar for the item that they had lied to me on the phone about. The owner then tried to explain business to me, which is laughable given my experience, education and intellect, giving reasons such as the item won’t sell because it is still sealed in its original packaging (this actually triples the value of the item). These shady business practices of lying to people on the phone so they will drive hours to come to your store, then trying to take advantage of them and lowball them since they at already there, are gross and I think it shows just what type of business this is and what type of person the owner is. Please keep this in mind if you ever intend on doing any business with this company. There is a lot more that I would like to say, but I don’t want my review being deleted for use of strong language or any...
Read moreAs part of my birthday gift this year, my spouse took me to the new LEGO store in town, Bricks & Minifigs. It's not a corporate store but more of a gently used resale-shop and collectables store.
Browsing the many, MANY sets, models, and minifigs was very fun, and I was pleased to see that many of the sets were very reasonably priced. (Obviously collectable sets were more, but that's to be expected). I also loved some of the customized bricks -- like there were a set of bricks decorated as classic books -- 20,000 Leagues under the Sea, Wizard of Oz, etc. I also loved the idea that if you needed a specific minifig to complete some set, you could come here to buy it instead of trying to buy an entire other Lego set just to get that one minifig.
The best part was the bulk brick area. We could pay for a cup or a bag and then fill it from the bulk bins with whichever LEGOs we wanted. So many bricks to choose from!
We probably spent over a half hour pouring through two of the bins to pick our favorite bricks for this bag. If you wanted to fill a bag quick, there was a scoop you could use, but this was way more fun!
There was also a customizable minifigs area that looked fun, but it was pretty busy so we didn't get to it on this visit.
The staff were all very friendly and easily accessible. There was plenty of hand sanitizer available along with signs to use it before going through the bulk bins.

Early this year in summer, we wanted to have our kid's birthday party at a place where not just kids but even adults have fun and are involved. And with Bricks and Minifigs we hit jackpot. Allison was super nice throughout the process, helped us work through some questions that we had. She ensured that she personally made us feel comfortable and met all the stuff we needed. She is very creative and made the birthday party cater such a memorable experience!!
They have a private party room and they had 2 birthday planners with us throughout the event, right from the time we entered till we left. The make kids play super fun car race games, and they had a Lego building competition which adults were more involved in than kids. It was amazing to see that!
All kids got very cute party favours by building their own Lego Minifigures!! They have a tie up with Schultz bakery and had an adorable Lego cake and Lego cake pops!!
Overall it was an amazing event and super memorable! Thanks to Allison and her...
