I’m sorry to say but every time I go to Sawall Health Food Store, I get treated poorly. I was in there today 10/15/19 at 1:46pm and had purchased a few items.
Once I got up to the cashier, she pretended not to see me and kept sweeping her register with a hand held broom. So, I went to the other cashier who was waiting on a customer, I set my items down on the belt and she slammed down the divider on the belt. Okay... that was rude.
So, I then asked the first cashier if she was open, she said yes, but then proceeded to continue on her conversation with the other cashier and customer, only stopping to ask me briefly, how I was doing.
She rang up my items. That was it. The lack of customer service in this establishment is depressing. You work at an expensive health food store, the least you could do is fake it til you make it.
This wouldn’t be the first time either, before when I was in here years ago before the make over, I was followed around as though I was a shop lifter. This kind of behavior makes me not want to return and spend my hard earned money here. Only to get terrible customer service and followed around.

Yes, I have experienced many friendly and knowledgeable staff in the past. However when I needed to get a hold of the wellness department on a weekday and talk to Noreen, I was told to try back. Three weeks later, 3 phones calls (2 on hold for 10 min), 2 trips over and a promise from Ken the manager that I would receive a phone call back and never did. I am out $10 and more importantly a lot of time. I experienced another staff member get defensive because I simply wanted to be able to reach this person. Read moreI've shopped at this store my whole life. Great inventory-- except the produce, which is embarrassing. What you guys accept as okay from your suppliers is shocking. Lately, we are encountering a HORRIBLE musk oil smell on our groceries. While this might not bother most, it activates migraines and asthma attacks in my household. Also, it smells disgusting and I don't want it all over my food. We've both talked to the manager who does nothing. He said there is a policy against scents but clearly this policy is not enforced. We aren't trying to villainize someone who is inadvertently creating harm but the issue also has not been addressed or resolved. Highly disappointing, coming from a health food store.
