They charge $50 straight up for the initial assessment for pretty much any problem, then after they identify the problem which at the latest will take 3 days, they will tell you your options amd the costs, with the initial $50 going towards whatever the cost is. For me, my laptop's hardrive was failing so they assessed it in 2 days and then told me I could either get a new hard drive installed for $227 or do a data recovery with a new harddrive for about $350. At forst I thought this was expensive but after checking what other places would do, this place actually charges about $100-300 less than anywhere else. I got my laptop back within a week and then when I got there they told me they took a look at the failing harddrive and got it to work and got 99% of the data off of it, no extra charge. So I was ecstatic that they did that for me and they gave me the original hard drive, thinking that I would have to transfer over the data myself. I got home and opened up my laptop and was absolutely thrilled and surprised to see that they already transfered my data over for me! They even put the two documents that they knew I was worries most about front and center on the home screen. So I got a new hard drive amd a data recovery for a total of $227 when anywhere else I would have paid around $400.

This shop was great! I appreciated their up-front estimate charges/no surprises on repairs. The repairs were done according to estimate & it worked well when I got it home. My other item I was told wasn't worth fixing & explained 'why' to me & I agreed! I trust their judgement & glad I took their advice. My repair was well done & I'll use them again. It was a breath of fresh air after my LAST experience!...

A disappearing into the back room w/ my device, & after 5 min I peaked in on him & he was just sitting there playing on his phone. I said I had to go... I'd just wanted an estimate... he told me it was too complicated & I'd have to leave it...I took it & left & low&behold it was fixed... he'd fixed it in a couple minutes but wanted me to leave it so he could charge me whatever?!?! Don't leave ur item w/ any shop who takes ur device into their back room w/o a price or telling u exactly what they're going to do w/ it. Make them look@it while ur right there showing him what u want him to fix! Geek Computers did everything in front of me where I could c & explain what I needed to tell & show him...no disappearing in the back room! Thank you Geek...

I highly recommend Geek Easy! I'm not normally a reviewer, but they provided such excellent service I felt obliged, I went to this shop to have my very old mac book looked at- it was running super slow and over heating. Alan shot me straight and rather than taking an additional $25 from me to fix the issue, he recommended I just invest in something newer (which I kinda assumed was the case) He went over specs with me, told me reputable places to find a used laptop and even took a minute to talk with me about different models I was comparing a few days later. I still had a $50 deposit with them, so he recommended I bring the new computer in and he'd help me transfer over all my data from the old one and set up my external hard drive for me so I didn't feel like I wasted $50. I'll definitely bring my new computer in to them if I have an issues...
