Burger King — Restaurant in Kalamazoo

Bait & Switch (you’ll appreciate this in a minute).

I order 2 of the Big Fish w/extra Tartar Sauce -I was starving. Please review the attached pictures to see what the sandwich looks like on their menu verses what I received (twice).

I ordered NO lettuce, so I don't want you to think that forgot it. However, the “extra” Tartar is sparing and looks “brown”. It tasted terrible, long with the fish.

So, the old adage remains intact 1 Fillet ‘O Fish at McDonald’s is better than 2 Big Fish in your bag.

The manager, or at least the man I assumed was the manager since he didn’t seem to be wearing anything that inducted his elevated status or responsibilities with this restaurant assured me that, “They just came out, careful they’re hot and fresh,”.

Look at this pics, does that look fresh. Try semi-crispy “crust” and mushy fish. Mushy I don’t like is a great adjective for any food…except maybe oatmeal. So I can equate my fish sandwich to an oatmeal sandwich? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Point is, if you want a fish sandwich, Burger King IS NOT the place for that.

Also. what is the point of ordering ahead via the app if I’m going to be stuck behind someone who clearly caused enough of an issue that it caused me to wait behind her for like 8 mins.

UPDATE 1.27.25 Now, weeks later they now asking me to include the names of the dishes in my uploaded pics. Burger King, if you can’t tell the dish by my uploaded pic then you have another whole world of issues. Are you serious? Does it look like a cheeseburger? Nugget? A shake? Maybe it’s onion rings. Jesus, hang...

Waited 25 minutes. In line almost 15 minutes. Ordered 2 whopper jr,fish sandwich and 2 shakes. Got to window, paid and was handed shakes. Waited over 10 more minutes with my window open and the drive thru window open and nobody there. Had I known it would be that long I would have asked for them to wait on the shakes. The guy comes and hands me the bag with no acknowledgement of the wait so I said wow , how about sorry for your wait since it's been 25 minutes. He said how about you go somewhere else next time!! 🤬 Believe me I will!! The shakes were practically milk and the food was cold. These were for 2 ladies in their 80's who rarely get out so it was supposed to be special. They could have said I'm sorry it will be awhile and held the shakes so they wouldn't melt or at least come to the window when we were getting to 10 more minutes of waiting. Nope. Just a rude remark as I left. I understand the lack of employees and new people being trained. It's everywhere. The day before I went to Starbucks and got wonderful treatment. They immediately acknowledged the wait time(which I did not think was long...less than 10 minutes total vs 25 minutes at Burger King) and a couple of times came to the window and said what was causing the holdup and apologized. Just a little courtesy vs telling me to go somewhere else is all...

1st off the professionalism in this store on westnedge is by far the worst I have came across in my entire life. Listening in employees taking about smoking weed.

Now to the issue at hand. I walked in and someone from the back said we will be right with you. Ok not a big deal. 3 or 4 minutes go by and another young couple walks in. And walks to the opposite end of where the cash register is and the lady says welcome to Burger King what can I get you? Wait!?! What!? While I was there in front of the register for that 4-5 minutes there were multiple employees standing at the register not willing to take my order for an Oreo shake.

I have never written a review on this location before but I have had multiple bad experiences from still frozen French toast sticks to forgetting my onion rings on multiple occasions.. This is the worst fast food establishment I have ever been in and I will never return to another BK...
