I’m going write this review so other brides do not have to deal with the consequences and stress I had to deal with…

I am very disappointed in the way the coordinator made herself the spotlight and did not follow through on what we discussed of how the day was supposed to go - she also argued with me over text and didn’t want to do as I asked. I should not have felt like a product on display to promote Her business and to make matters worse, she spent the entire day asking me questions that she already knew the answer to and did not like that her template which I planned and sent out because she did not. She refused to follow because I made changes. She followed me around the entire morning, trying to ask me things which she already knew the answer to on the Planner to the point. My bridesmaids had to interfere so that I could have a moment of peace. I don’t feel that any bride should be stressed out by a coordinator on her wedding day..

During the ceremony she photographer from taking photos of my exit, as well as pulled my groom away from me during the exit and made me walk alone back to the reception hall. She did not allow me any rest time with my groom alone and continue to try to rush the ceremony..

During the reception time she did not allow us to eat or get our food first as we discussed and did not even ask what we wanted to have, even though we had told her prior to all of this what we wanted.. instead of allowing us to have time to eat with our guests and enjoy our reception she spent things along so quickly that she began having them clean up the catering before anybody was truly finished eating.

In conclusion, she was rude to my wedding party, my photographers and my make up artist as well as did not accommodate to my wishes as the bride. I feel very disappointed in all of this, and I do not recommend this catering service to any future bride.

I am not quite sure I even know where to begin. When we first went to do a consult with Southern Style, we met with Michele and Denise. They made us an amazing lunch to talk over wedding details. Kudos to Michele, I don't think she knew what she was getting involved with! We went to get a food caterer. However, we left with a caterer, a full belly, happy hearts, new friends AND a day of coordinator too! When I tell you Michele came to the rescue for a indecisive woman planning a wedding during COVID-19, SHE SAVED MY LIFE. 2 months prior to our wedding, my husband and I both tested positive, were very sick and very behind on wedding planning. 2 weeks before our wedding, we had our florist back out. My hair girl decided to peace out as well. They pulled out the magic wand and made it happen! Michele helped me plan every last detail to our day and it was absolutely, the best day ever!

We struggled with our menu plans and bounced around alot. She had the absolute best ideas and nifty ways to incorporate our fun foods! The food was so great. BBQ was OFF the Chain! We had grilled chicken for our people not so big on the pig. Macaroni & Cheese, because how do you go wrong with cheese?? My favorite by far was the pretzels for our "Last bite of the nite", I want to take credit- but again, all Michele's idea! Soft carnival pretzels, with mustard, cheese or a cinnamon brown sugar butter. OH EM GEE!

PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND HIRE THESE PEOPLE FOR ANY...

I do not know where to start. Right from the beginning Southern Style events was absolutely fabulous. Everyone that helped out was amazing. It was one of the hottest days of the summer and I know they were suffering big time. My daughters wedding was so beautiful and they played such a big part of her day. The food was fabulous and I am sorry I do not have pictures of the amazing food except the charcuterie board. We had the carving station with also the parmesan crusted chicken breasts. We did the mashed potato bar and macaroni and cheese and green beans. The salad bar was also wonderful. I would suggest if you ask for the lemonade they say they just serve it with the cocktail hour but that is all the groom wanted to drink so I messed up there. We had a lot of non drinkers and children so it went really fast. I cannot say enough how wonderful they were from start to finish. Thank you again for being a part of making my daughter and son in laws day absolutely beautiful...
