Cosentino's Market — Local services in Kansas City

I shop here every day of the week. I shop for multiple families. I also shop Hen House and Hy-Vee in the City area. I can always expect a Thank You from those stores but rarely do I receive one at Consentino Brookside. If the Cashier says anything at all it's 'have a good one...' Duh! Even the tall skinny young man at the meat department can hardly expound Any words out of his mouth to say Thank You. Does Consentino think that 'have a good one' is equal to thanking us for our patronage? Whole Foods can't get here too soon! I shop Consentino for the quality produce, and groceries, but they need to educate their staff on making sure that the customer leaving the store remembers that they felt special and that the store is Thankful for their business. I have over 30 yrs in retail as a owner. Every customer that left my store received a Thank You and then the staff could ask their personal comments.

Update, 11/12/19;. The Cheese Department is not what it use to be. They have gone very low grade on quality. Whole Foods has the best now to offer the...

I just wanted to leave a little note to the lovely man who went above and beyond for me yesterday. I couldn't find my wallet. I called there to see if anyone had found it. I told the man I didn't think it was there but I was just recounting my steps that morning. He asked the cashier who checked me out. He watched the video and followed my steps from there out to the parking lot to see if I dropped it. He went outside to look around where my car was. He did not have to do all that. Nobody goes out of their way anymore. I just wanted to tell him thanks and I found my wallet in the depths of our car. I wish I remembered his name but as usual, brookside markets customer service is above pare. Sidenote: Carlos and AJ are always my cashiers in the morning and they are lovely. I have visited this market several times in the past 6 months. It is well lite, clean and easy to navigate. If you find parking right out front it’s a win! Otherwise, a super easy lot is right beside with seemingly always plenty of spaces. I love the fresh veggies options. I’ve ordered from the deli: chicken strips, panini sandwiches, deli meat, even taken home Filet Mignon steaks. I have found different options for coffee creamers, this is always a treasure. I have purchased several different breads from the bakery. Check out the pics of the cakes! Not sure they are tasty but they are super fun and look like party decorations. I have yet to be disappointed. So many other things I want to try that I will swing by every time I’m in the neighborhood. See you soon...
