I needed to have two rings sized today. Took my rings to one of the jewelry stores that I frequent but the bench jeweler was not at the store today so I decided to try one of the local jewelers, CJ David and Co. I have used them before but their turn around time can be a bit extensive at times but they do great work. So, on my way to CJ's I saw Ortiz Jewelry and decided to stop in and give them a try. I walked in to no acknowledge, no hello, I'll be right with you, nothing. This man looked up, looked at me and kept doing what he was doing. I stood there for about 1minute and turn right around and walked out of that store. I do believe that was the owner of the store. I said right then and there, I would not spend a red cent at that store. I am a lover of fine jewelry and have a pretty nice wardrobe of nice pieces and I am always in need of some type of repairs.

CJDavid charged me $450 to size two very nice rings. I found the price to be a bit high but I would gladly give them my business because I know they do excellent work from past experience but most importantly they know how to treat paying customers with respect! If I could give zero stars I would!!!...

3 years later from 2023-2024 Oscar the owner kept making excuses he’s too busy to do any custom work, when after I called him after about the 3rd time said I should find another jeweler, when desperate he was willing to take any work and now too proud to take someone’s money, I don’t think anyone needs to beg or take their business to an unprofessional individual like this man.

Very unprofessional. I called about a snake chain 2 weeks ago. Owner said he would be calling around for other prices as they don't make them in house and it had to be ordered. Owner never returned my call. No big deal, so i followed up today. Called him back about the same necklace today. Now the same measurements for the same necklace is more than 2x the price. Owner was very ugly and loud with me. I had to ask him to lower his voice and not be ugly as i was not treating him that way. I had conducted buisness with them in the past and was happy, but this time he was very ugly. Will never be doing buisness...
