This theatre has it's pros and cons.

Pros: Small-town feel Recently upgraded sound and projectors The theater is pretty old but well maintained. It feels like you're stepping back in time. The popcorn is pretty good. Free refill on the large.

Cons: Ticket prices are between $2-$3. This is only a few dollars less than the Station Park theater on their discount day (Tuesday). You can't buy tickets more than thirty minutes in advance. Several times my kids have been excited to see a movie, only to be disappointed when I can't deliver because I couldn't buy tickets earlier in the evening or afternoon. Because you can't buy tickets in advance, you're often standing in line, and then sitting in a theater for an hour or more before the show starts. A few times my kids have had poor interactions with the staff. It feels like I'm treated with respect, but my children don't deserve the same respect because they...

Since I work in the Theater business, I have to be very honest here...the sound systems in this place SUCK. They are probably 15-20 years old; the system in my basement puts out better sound quality then this. Some of the theaters here don’t even have working surround channels. Anyways the place is always a mess, even though they keep playing that stupid cartoon that encourages people to clean up after themselves. One time after a movie I almost had one of my shoes stuck permanently to the ground. Also, one of the theaters is shaped the wrong way. The floor slopes down from the screen! It’s terrible and I often can’t see over the heads in front of me. Kaysville Theater is in dire need of massive upgrades and renovations. This place is not worth the money. I would rather spend a few more bucks and go to a decent theater for my experience. I am officially never...
