The Lost Alaskan — Restaurant in Kaysville

Due to all the great reviews, I was super stoked to stop by. Yet the shop didn't quite live up to expectations. I found there were a few things that could've been improved upon.

☕️🥓 Number one being the lack of pup cups for dogs. I drove half an hour to get my fur baby a puppuccino, but instead I was only given a tiny bacon treat. This was very dissapointing as reviews indicated that pup cups are available here, and my dog is not fun to take in the car (he gets really bad anxiety). If I had known that's all he was going to get I would've left him home, and it's not as if I expected a pup cup for free; I would've been happy to pay a few dollars. I do understand it’s a coffee shop and not a pet store, but I’ve never been to an establishment that hasn’t offered them before (until today). ☕️🪑 Number two being the seating area. Pictures show a rug or something under the chairs in the covered tent, but when I visited it was a bunch of chairs sitting in pure mud (not a very nice place to enjoy your coffee). ☕️ 🖊 And finally, I was super excited to get a note or drawing on my coffee (as reviews also indicated), but I failed to receive that too.

The first time I went I had an amazing barista that made an amazing tasting white mocha. She had a welcoming atmosphere around her too! Made me want to come back so I did! This time I had mediocre coffee, didn’t ask much about what I wanted, and the drawing doesn’t seem kind spirited. This looks raunchy. I legit just needed coffee while I’m dog sitting in Kaysville and don’t have a coffee set up at my client’s house. A true gem in the neighborhood. As a recently new Utahn, I was looking for my new coffee haunt. I can and will drive great lengths to have quality beverages, but fortunately this place is central to Kaysville and amazing in all aspects. Coffee creativity, service and friendliness, and unfussy seating make this the perfect place to gather with friends for a quick drink or the drive through outside the trailer when on-the-go.
