🚨I brought my son to an appointment this morning and because of blizzards the past two days, the fact that Kearney doesn’t clear the downtown very well and the fact that I’m in a sports car where my parking options are even more limited; I parked in a spot where I knew I’d be able to get back out. I’m sitting in my car talking to my husband on the phone and the employee of the furniture store unlocked and went in to their business. Within maybe 5 minutes of her going in she came out and was either videoing or on a video call because she was showing my car and my license plate then made eye contact with me and started filming the pickup beside me. I thought it was interesting why she was doing that but was like whatever because I’m in a legal parking spot that’s not marked for anything in particular and because my son is in a business right down the street so I’m doing absolutely nothing wrong. After filming she and another lady stood inside the door just staring. Then after a few minutes she came out and put a note on the pickups windshield. She and the other lady precede to stand at the door and stare more. A few minutes after that she no joke walks up to my car and I start to roll my window down, again making eye contact and she instead of talking to me puts a note on my windshield about parking in front of their store because they have elderly customers….. ITS A FURNITURE STORE that is STILL CLOSED and then goes inside and is AGAIN at this very second standing there staring at me. I genuinely pity people like her! I can’t imagine being so consumed with the feeling of entitlement that you practically harass someone for doing absolutely nothing wrong. I’ve only been here for less than 45 minutes anyway I digress. I’m adding some pics to depict what the parking looks like, and the situation. Never going to ever shop at Nelson’s furniture that’s for sure! Very rude.. I can only imagine how they treat their customers. Which is sad cuz we were looking at getting a place and needing furniture.. but there are other...
Read moreMy patience is wearing thin with these goobers, bought a high end mattress from these folks. Decided to buy local and the product was made in Omaha so how more 'Merican can you be. The mattress has an issues with "sledding" (as they call it). After dealing with it for a while and even flipping it the "sledding" issue didn't go away. We called them about the issue near the end of November and were told someone would come out in 2-3 days. After several follow-up calls still no one has come out and nothing has gotten done. In the ensuing conversations it was revealed that it really isn't an "merican product. All the parts are Chinese and it just gets assembled in Omaha. They haven't seen their rep in 9+ months and thanks to tariff's they are have trouble getting parts. Wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. Definitely NO WAY to do business.
UPDATE: Bad situation got worse, looks like the NEW mattress we were sold was USED! Went to move it from one bedroom to another and it is coming apart...
Read moreI had a fantastic experience at Nelson’s Furniture while shopping for a new living room set. From the moment I walked in, the customer service was excellent. The staff was friendly and welcoming, but never pushy—they gave me the space and time to browse and really consider what I wanted without hovering, which I truly appreciated.
When I found the perfect set, I was disappointed to learn that one of the pieces had already been sold. Thankfully, Melinda stepped in and went above and beyond to help me. She was able to order the missing piece, and to my surprise, it arrived in just two weeks—far faster than the two-month wait for other sets that other stores had quoted me.
I’m absolutely thrilled with my purchase and the entire experience. Nelson’s Furniture truly values their customers, and it shows. I’ll definitely be coming back for future...
