• This happened a few years ago at the old location but I will never forget this expereince. Rudest woman I have ever encountered. Came out of the business yelling at me to move my car. I was working with a man with disabilities and was training, my coworker had parked near the business to bring the client to his apartment as he has trouble walking and falls easily and wouldn't be long. I explained the situation to the woman and she told me she didn't care. She continued to yell at me and I told her it wasn't even my car. I finally moved the car away from the business and she followed me across the parking lot yelling at me. Mind you there was no one at the business, it wasnt like i was taking a parking spot away from her business as no one was even shopping there. She told me she would call a tow truck. I told her that it wasn't her parking lot and I wasn't anywhere near her business. She continued to yell at me until my client and coworker came back. This business has no compassion for people and would never spend a dime here. It is a shame because I was excited to see the place as I love thrift stores but after this encounter I would never give my business to this place. If I could give 0 stars I would!!! Puggy's is a one-of-a-kind treasure trove grove just off the beaten path; half a block from Main St. in Keene, near center square. Puggy is no virtual mascot or a painted logo, but a real-live canine who greets every guest. He's a friendly black lab, and yet, a formidable large male dog who seems to be aware he's a celebrity on his turf who's also earning his keep and protecting Mom and Dad. Mom is a lovely, gracious lady with a big, kind heart and possesses genuine skill in the art of conversation. I would return just to enjoy her company. Dad is more quiet but his big smile makes up for any lack in the gift of gab. As I walked around the shop, words like "relic", "antique", "nostalgic", "a blast from the past", "wow, I remember these!", "cool!", "functional and useful" kept coming to mind. Memories from my childhood surfaced, and prices matched my pocket change range! I ended up buying a $5 ceramic tile with a painting of Mt. Chocorua on it, an ice fields-laden peak in the White Mountains I attempted to summit once in January, back in my college days 35 years ago. This shop, filled with gifts, is itself a gift and one of Keene's hidden gems more folks need...

I liked the fact that there were a bunch of diverse pieces but that day I was very anxious due to prior happenings during the day And I understand ppl love their dogs and the place is named after the dog that is in the store w the owner but his hair standing up and the fact he was over crowding me and I didn't know him just the owner re assuring me he was fine kids come to c him ..well tell that to my shaking knees from an already stressful day which animals that don't know you can pick up on and take as fear which I was scared to death so ya good stuff in the store ..no-good when you ask the owner 3 times pls pls get him off me and they pretty much ignore you for 5 to 10 minutes at least and then I hear well he's doin good so far not knowing they were talking about another dog behind the counter so even after I say I've been bit b4 but I own a dog I know their family but he's gonna sense my energy I mean idk his hair was standing up and he was smelling me to the point of pushing me back which the owner replied oh he knows you have a dog..anyways I also have uncaringly let my dog over do it w ppl cause I know he's ok but they don't so note to self don't...
