Would have giving 5 stars, as I've been shopping here for years and this was my favorite goodwill for the better part of a decade, but last time I went here, about a month or so ago, was easily the worst shopping experience of my life...
I normally grab a basket as I enter, as I like to pick things up as I go, then take my time and put some back before purchasing and leaving, and I hate dealing with a bulky cart in narrow isles...but that day I had a horrible issue with my boyfriend, and forgot to get a basket, so I was just holding stuff while I looked at things...i dislike having employees bug me when I shop, and after awhile two different ones had came up to me asking of I would like them to get me a cart, I politely said no both times (had they said basket, I would of said yes), then it happens a 3rd time...so politely say no a 3rd time and, agitated and distracted from my issues at home, and knowing all the baskets were by the entrance all the way at the other end of the store, I just grab a big duffle bag since I needed one anyway (the fight was that bad at home) and put the stuff I was carrying mostly in it (i did not zip it or even try to conceal it or it's contents, and still was clearly carrying other items as they would not all fit) my stance was casual and open, my movements no faster than normal, and I was not heading to the exit, I was still shopping...next thing I know, the one employees who had asked me twice if I wanted a cart, apears, tells me to put everything down, and starts husleing me towards the front without saying why...i had to ask her twice why were were going to the front of the store before she told me she was kicking me out, I even asked if I could at least buy what I had been carrying, and she said no...then she told me I was banned for life from that and every goodwill anywhere (a lie, since they didn't ask for my name or take my picture)...i guess they thought I was shoplifting, even after I asked to pay for the items I had picked...weird, as I'm pretty sure shoplifters didn't pay, ha. I then got upset and said that a warning would have been nice (I was still being polite, mostly out of shock)...her response was that she had asked me twice if I'd like a cart...im not sure how I was ment to know that a smiling, polite "would you like me to go get you a cart, ma'am?" Actually had ment "I'm gonna have to ask you to either use a cart, or a basket, or leave right now, or I will ban you for life and escort you off the property in front of everyone like you have done something wrong."...but I guess to that particular employee, the two sentences are one and the same...?? I actually had to go clear out to the road and stand on the sidewalk, because standing outside by the doors or in the parking lot was still "on the property" (and I couldn't just go home, I had gone there with a friend who was still inside)...the whole thing was humiliating, especially since I'd gone there specifically to cheer myself up after everything with my boyfriend, and I actually ended up walking home in tears...i genuinely hope the young, pretty but bitchy and horrible girl that kicked me out has or will get fired, and I never hope that of people...i don't remember ever having seen her working there before, so my guess is that she was new...certianly didn't have the respectful bedside manner that I had grown acustom to from what had once been my favorite store, and the only thrift store in walking distance of my home (I'm 28 but do not drive)...id be happy with an apology, but I got the sense that she's not a genuinely warm enough person to honestly give one...hopefully goodwill policy doesn't recommend lying to would-be customers (by telling them they are banned for life everywhere when there's no way to enforce it), throwing out sales (by refusing to let me buy things I wanted), and humiliating them publicly...but I wouldn't know as I do not...
Read moreI went to this goodwill location earlier today. And like I was just browsing through the selection of items minding my own business when I see this goddess of a woman walk by me. I was stunned. I frantically gathering myself together so I could build up the courage to talk to her. I got her attention by tapping her on the shoulder she turns around and looks at me and asks "Hello do you need help sir?" It takes me a second to respond because of how mesmerized I am looking at perhaps the most beautiful human being I have ever seen in my life. I look down at her name tag and It reads "Dani" I look back at her and see a puzzled look on her face It was then when I realized a few moments have past and I have still not responded to her. Embarrassed I begin to apologize and ask if she is single. A little time pasts but what felt like eternity for me waiting to receive an answer from her, her beautiful soft bright red lips start shifting and become into a smile. My heart skips a beat. She chuckles a little and responds with "is there anything else I can help you with sir?" And I determined as ever go again for another try and look at her in her gorgeous eyes that sparkle brighter then the moon on a summer night. I ask her what time her lunch is and she looks back at me with a smile on her face and responds "in five minutes sweety you can wait for me outside". For this is not the first time I have seen this beautiful woman that makes me speechless and takes my breath away but Everytime I see her it's as if I'm reliving the moment of when I first laid eyes on the...
Read moreAll low quality clothes (polyester, third party brands, wholesale, etc) and the only name brand items (nike, columbia, pendelton) are behind a 15$+ charge… and that is just the ugly “name” brand items…
The books never get updated, maybe once each month 50-60 books get added.
The appliances, toys, games, electronics, etc also gets the very high mark up and the very lowest quality.
I would like to add, that before 2025 the store did have some nice gems and good items at a high price. But in 2025 it is mostly all very used and low quality items for a very high price. It is sad to call this a “thrift store” with the way they receive free donations, but will push out garbage for a high price and sell the good donations into their own websites/fancier stores for a higher price, on the DONATED goods of the community …
The store receives items from around the community. And they only put out the cheap items (this is the poor side of town) and the nice stuff that got donated will get put in their online auctions… not worth your time coming here if you want to find hidden gems or anything worth of value. Unless you need the cheapest most expensive items, then this...
