I go here quite often because I shop at Safeway to get the things that Walmart doesn't carry. Like the cookies from their bakery for example, yum! They have a lot packed into this plaza. A place to drop off packages, (as long as they fit through the opening). Papa Murphy's and Little Ceasers are there along with a Starbucks. A laundry mat and an auto parts store too. I am probably forgetting something.. Anyways the only reason for the missing star is the way they have the parking lots and the not so friendly speed bumps. You know the ones that are small but sharp and you hit hard no matter what speed you're going. When you go to hit the drive through of Little Ceasers, if there are 2 or more cars in it already then you have no way to get wait in line without blocking the entrance on Lancaster drive. Yeah, so you either can be 'that guy' who chooses to make it difficult for everyone trying to get in and thereby backing up traffic on Lancaster, oorrr you choose to circle around and wait for the line to go down while you see other people choose to be 'that guy' and end up waiting longer or just end up going inside to get your food. There is limited parking in front of Little Ceasers also so you may have to park in the row behind where the cars come in and out and walk across, yikes! If you are trying to park in the very first spot be careful also as that is the one right next to that drive through entrance and they are Close! Be extra careful when you go to leave and have to back out. If you're there for Starbucks then you'll have to get by all of this to get in to that drive through as well. Lastly if you are exiting and need to turn any other direction besides right, it might take a minute and please be careful. Lots of traffic coming from All different directions. All in all, great place but not a very good flow to the drive through...
Read moreDid not care for taste or texture of 'chicken'. Will not be back. Even the rice was meh, it could at least have been hot, fresh, tender. But tasted like yesterdays rice pot leftovers. Not impressed at all. Parking lot was empty, restaurant only had one other table seated, guess I know why, food was not very good. Loved the used barn-wood decor in store and service was fast, professional, pleasant. To improve, make sure chicken is of high quality, (not stringy, chewy questionable meat?!), use fresh vegetables, cook fresh rice daily, add some herbs, garlic and get a cook that knows how to make sauces not plastic jug sauce. You could fill the restaurant with fresh, organic, homemade stir-fry using grade A quality...
Read moreOak park has stores that include home repair, crafts, stationary, clothing, shoes, sports attire, and the number of eating places. I frequent oak Park plaza because it has just about everything I need. I used to go to Michael's craft store on a regular basis but I have quit going there as much because they're not carrying the quantity or quality of the products that I use in my paper crafts. And what they do carry is considerably overpriced. For those reasons I have quit going there. Except for groceries it is a shopping center...
