Wow what an asset to Salem I've never been here before I went there last night for a birthday party we were there from like 8:00 until they closed I would go here anytime the staff is fully in charge of their branch they keep the rabble rousers out and they made me very happy I would be willing to drive this 70 minutes from my house to theirs in order to spend time in this bar and I may may I recommend the Jameson with a pickleback or if you're lucky enough to get one of the great bartenders tell them what you want or tell them the mood you're in and they'll make you a drink to fit it or if you need to cut your friends off just tell them to make it alcohol-free and they can fake it until you can get them in the car LOL I had to do that but boy these people were great I can't wait to return and enjoy more times down there karaoke was great staff was great place was clean food was good nothing more positive to say who knew all this...

From the street, it looks like a total dive bar--and I have a soft spot for a good dive bar. However, I'd checked out a handful of others around this part of town, and felt wildly unwelcome at all of them.

Not here! The staff are fantastic (hat tip to Julian), and the patrons seemed somewhat friendlier than most, too--perhaps having a good bar puts them in better spirits (pun intended). Also, it's way cleaner and nicer inside than the "dive bar" label typically would indicate, and both pool tables are in excellent condition. Heck, even the cues are straight--so much for bar pool being essentially table-top mini-golf! I think that disqualifies the "dive bar" label entirely.

I was impressed, and am delighted to have this place so nearby.

Only one man, the bartender working He was prompt friendly and made the best chicken strips basket I've ever tasted . He change my night from covered in dirt hungry & embarrassed to welcomed even better than going home to unwind . He surprised the hell out of me recognized me from Champions then showed me the best service I've seen in a long time at a bar. I thank you for that __?

This was a few nights ago but I really wanted to say thank you and recognize that man. I don't know his name but he used to work at Champions in kudos to you for remembering customers that makes them feel really good especially after a day like I had.
