Never had a bad experience until now.
On May 17th I ordered a cake from Miranda’s Bakery (by Chuck E Cheese). I ordered it 5 days in advanced and paid it that same day for my sons party which was on May 22nd. The day of the party I was busy setting up the party decorations, food, party favors , etc.
I asked my friend to pick up the cake, she did. however, one big issue. They said they didn’t have a cake under my name or my son’s name. so my friend waited 45 minutes just for them to tell her they didn’t have it or have a receipt (remind you I ordered it through the phone. No receipt given) I called them and after 4 attempts a lady answered the phone I asked where is my cake that ordered and she hung up on me. Again I called 5 times and another lady answered the phone and same thing, I asked what happened to the cake I ordered. (Apparently she couldn’t hear me, so I hung up and pull up to the bakery)
I get there, I cut in line (I was very angry, sorry to those who saw me react that way) and said where is my cake. Cashier asked for my name and receipt. I said I ordered it through the phone and showed her my transaction from my bank app. After arguing with them to refund me my 69 dollars or make me a new cake. They told me to call this guy (probably the owner?) and talk to him I said no. My issue is with you guys for forgetting my cake order. All I wanted was a new cake or a refund so I can go buy a cake somewhere else. One of the bakers decided to go ahead and make me a mil hojas cake. Problem solved that’s all I asked instead of arguing over a dumb receipt. Problem solved. Cake was delicious and fresh. My son loved it.
But my issue is that they made me feel like they were putting the blame on me for not having a paper receipt and not asking who I spoke to on the phone the day I ordered the cake. That’s not my problem. When you work for a business and you’re taking the calls you say your name and place you’re calling and making sure the cake order is placed.
So, if you decide to order a cake from them please make sure you call ahead and make sure they have your cake order. I had to leave in the middle of my son’s birthday party to deal...
Read moreGreat cakes, horrible service. They refused to give me a receipt for a cake ordered over the phone. When asked for the receipt at pick up they said they gave the receipt to the person who paid for the cake. That was me and no you did not. They basically called my husband a liar and walked away from him like it was the end of the conversation. When he asked for the cake before the receipt incident they almost refused to give him the cake because he did not know the cake flavor and size I ordered. Mind you, the cake that was already paid for. He gave them my name (since it was under my name) the woman behind the counter said no we need the cake flavor and size or I can’t give you a cake. He pointed out that there was most likely no other orders for a my name (I have a not so common first name) she said no and then said next customer. He had to call me while at the bakery since he didn’t remember the flavor or size. Overall a horrible experience. I am very disappointed since I love their mil hojas cakes.
Grandes pasteles, servicio horrible. Se negaron a darme un recibo por un pastel que ordené por teléfono. Cuando se les pidió el recibo al momento de la recogida, dijeron que le dieron el recibo a la persona que pagó el pastel. Ese era yo y no, no lo hiciste. Básicamente llamaron mentiroso a mi esposo y se alejaron de él como si fuera el final de la conversación. Cuando pidió el pastel antes del incidente del recibo, casi se negaron a darle el pastel porque no sabía el sabor ni el tamaño del pastel que pedí. Eso sí, el pastel que ya estaba pagado. Les dio mi nombre (ya que estaba debajo de mi nombre) la mujer detrás del mostrador dijo que no, necesitamos el sabor y el tamaño del pastel o no puedo darte un pastel. Señaló que lo más probable es que no hubiera otros pedidos para mi nombre (tengo un nombre no tan común), ella dijo que no y luego dijo el siguiente cliente. Tuvo que llamarme mientras estaba en la panadería porque no recordaba el sabor ni el tamaño. En general, fue una experiencia horrible. Estoy muy decepcionada porque me encantan sus pasteles...

Ordered my daughters cake a chocolate Tres Leche from Miranda's Bakery a little over a week ago.. Showed up today to pick it up and well they had no cake, so they said they had vanilla or mocha, right on but it’s not what we ordered and not what we paid extra for when we got there I gave the cashier my receipt and she held on to it I explained I didn’t think it was right that we had to pay full price for a cake we didn’t order but have to settle for because today is her birthday and we’re kinda stuck but also the 7$ extra we paid for customizing it to a chocolate tres leche but oh well we will take the cake but I’d like my receipt that shows we paid extra for the customization the lady did not want me to have my receipt after her worker showed her we did indeed pay extra for it to be chocolate but she didn’t want to give us the receipt or any type of refund so I snagged the receipt out of her hand and grabbed the cake she decided to smash the cake with her hand 82$ for a smashed cake that we didn’t order thanks a lot Miranda’s!
