Editing this to add: LMFAO you guys scalp too. At your trading card store. 10$ a pack for destined rivals. 15$ a pack for prismatic evolutions. 60$ for a bundle of destined rivals. you should be ashamed of yourselves. No integrity for your community here at the card store or at your crane game business in Berkshire mall. Pathetic.
Above review for immaculate cards.
Bottom review for immaculate cranes.
Seeing as you guys don't have a Google review page for your crane machine location in Berkshire mall, I'll leave this here.
Edit for luisa: it's valid for me to put this here because of the above paragraph. YOU own immaculate crane and games, YOUR card business is associated with your crane business because of how you represent yourself. This reply is no different than the people who justify scalping by saying "if i don't do it someone else will" hold yourself responsible to be a better business for the community.
I came to immaculate claw and games on the opening night excited to have a local crane place to go and have fun instead of driving 40m to go to round one.
Won several prizes that night, maybe 8-10 and lost several others. The claws seemed fair and balanced and gave the impression I had a chance in a skill based system. (Spent 50$ first night).
Since then I have been back on 2-3 other days (50$ second time, and then 40$ dollars another time with my girlfriend) and didn't win a single thing. On the timing machines (pokemon packs or plushies) with a spinning roulette and a plunger to release the prize, i saw that there was a small delay after pressing stop and it would travel a little more but always go past the spot or stop right before it. Okay so I have an idea of how to stop it. But if I timed it right after pressing stop based on the other times it would instantly stop where I pressed, not consistent with other times.
The claw games would perfectly grab a toy or plush and once it got to the top the claw would instantly drop the prize back down, again not consistent to the first day I was there or to the model of a skill based machine like a claw game. I'd even do the usual concept of 'it takes x number of plays to win' and try a machine after some else wasted a bunch of tries and not win. Seemingly putting in 10 dollars myself into a machine and not getting a plush or toy out of the machine when I grabbed it 8/10 times and it reached the top of the machine only to be instantly dropped.
And you have the business model of trading in won prizes for other bigger prizes....but you have to actually win stuff for that. I'm not sure if the machines were set up to win more easily opening night to draw people in or if they can be changed later, but based on experience something isn't right.
I understand you are not supposed to win every single time on claw machines, I understand that a business is set up to make money. But this is honestly so beyond disrespectful to the community, your customers, and in a way even yourself.
These are toys that take pennies to make, you guys absolutely pay diddly squat for them to fill your machines and then can recycle them if people trade them in for other prizes that aren't even close to the money spent to win the other prizes.
At this point I'd rather take the 40min drive to round one, spend 100$ there, and walk out with a ton more plushies because their games are actually fair and skill based than the 5minute drive to support someone local.
I see no point in supporting someone who doesn't respect...
Read moreThey have one of the best selections for pokemon card products I have seen in the area. Their prices aren't the cheapest, but also not the most expensive, they are pretty average. They have a smaller selection than most of high quality individual cards, however they do have a bunch of slabs when others don't. The cards in their individual case are roughly average price compared to others. However where they seem to fall short is their pricing of cards when you sell them. I have recently picked up collecting again, and have been testing nearby shops pricing for duplicates and excess cards. I have been taking the same rough value of cards to several shops, and included the same high value cards in most of the batches. Usually I take roughly 300 worth of value, the most I have gotten for these sets is 210 and the average was 190. Infact the lowest before this place was 170, they came in at 120 significantly lower than anyone else. Now for the good news, they do a much more thurough job inspecting the cards and rejected two for small defects, so I would trust their used cards a little more than others. This practice of undervaluing seems nearsighted to me, as I have spent well over 2k in cards from shops over the last 2 months or so. I can't recommend a shop that won't pay a more fair price for duplicate cards, it makes it hard to invest money with them. I know the hunt is for fun, but it feels like in this manner they take advantage of...
Read moreAwesome card shop! I was in the area and I had seen this place nearby, I had no idea they were a newer business. The owners had a nice setup and were great, it seemed like the place had already been around for a while. The owners are really nice, knowledgeable and great to talk to. They had plenty in stock and great card singles. I've definitely missed going to actual card stores now that a lot is done online but I don't doubt I'll visit this shop when I'm in the area. Actually it'd probably be worth going out of the way for! They have plenty of Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh products. MTG and Metazoo as well as others from what I saw. Buy, Sell and Trade too! Looking forward to them getting even more product and cards. Thank you for reminding me how great it is to go to a...
