DO NOT BUY ANYTHING EXPENSIVE FROM THIS STORE! Like most people I never had a problem before and always thought Best Buy was a great store but I was so very wrong. This has been the worst experience I have ever had and I will never go in there and buy anything again. I recently received a new job offer and my grandparents wanted to buy a computer for me to use back and forth for work which WOULD have been a big help, However my computer within 4 months of purchasing had crashed 2 times and had to have the hard drive replaced 2 times. The first time was about 30 days in the second about 2 months after that. I was sold a LEMON and they did not want to replace or help fix my problem. Geek Squad also proceeded to tell me that 'Well it must have got a virus on it and that it was my fault, that I must have downloaded something.... and that was coming from the woman was is the assistant manager supposedly from Geek Squad. I tried to explain to her that this computer was barley used just a few times back and forth from work and nothing was ever downloaded. She then told me that SOMETHINGS can download themselves or you downloaded something like Microsoft Word documents and you can get a virus from that. I just kind of gave her a look because that was the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. It has been a struggle this entire time (4 months) so far. After being on the phone for literally DAYS getting transferred to various people in store and on there customer service number, nobody has been able to help besides keep replacing the hard drives and constantly looking anything that is saved on it. I now have to make sure everything is backed up because they never tried to fix the problem, like the fact that for some reason my hard drive needs to keep getting replaced, you would thing there is something else that is causing this but all they will do is keep replacing the hard drive while its under warranty and nothing more. Later on I found out that while my computer was purchased in a bundle, that bundles computer was not selling previously because of how crappy it was, which I was surprised because it was an HP computer. So what Best Buy decided to do to sell this non selling item, they decide to put it in a bundle but before they did that, they opened all the computers out of there original boxes and download WINDOWS 10 to them them put them back in another box and sealed it. I don't know about you but wouldn't you consider that an open box. The reason though that I'm bringing that up was because no where does it say it was opened or that it was supposed to have windows 8 not 10. After having my hard drive replace for the second time they put Windows 8 not 10 on it. After getting it back the second time the operating system was changed. So I had to bring it back in and at this point the manager at GEEK SQUAD did not want to deal with us anymore she called one of the assistant managers to advocate on her behave because she was then telling me that it was supposed to be Windows 8 not 10 originally and that they can fix it. I went up there with the box and receipt showing them that it clearly says it is a WINDOWS 10 not an 8 she then says well there nothing they can do. So basically I purchased a computer that within 4 months of purchasing had to have the hard drives replaced 2 times (which never fixed the initial problem so it will most likely happen again soon, its starting to glitch again and going to a black screen) and the second time I received it back that had the wrong operating system and they will not fix...
Read moreGot over charged, after wife had already purchased item on phone with a Best Buy Rep. That had to adjust price matching within their store. (Being over charged) The order said ready to go pick up. On the way there we get an email saying. Cancelled. No phone call. I get there Mgt. Said due to item was returned by a customer.. Earbuds we're incomplete. ,( in our heads were going Yuk your gonna sell me an item that's been in others ears. So two days later. We show up all the Mgt. Had to do was scan the email Best Buy had in reference to order to confirm price an what we were saying. She said no,. Cashier could not careless what was going not even help. Just staring into to space. Wife had aniexty so bad. I am showing her that due to price matching correction we received a credit back on my card an rewards were there as well. We said since we have the extra money left over these guys are free. The price matching money went towards item. Chuckle chuckle... OMG she didn't get it. The cashier couldn't care less what was going on. We tried to get her to scan and she would see all the information. It would be pull up account with rewards an the credits. No she charged me again. More than I was supposed to pay an did not even include geek squad as I had told her wepaid for an still wanted. Wouldn't even offer it or let us get it. We said were supposed to have it. Nor did she or cashier even give me the option to get or choose how our purchase is to be. Interest free or take points. We left store called Best Buy Corporate once home wife to calm down. Not from anger but from Aniexty an knowing we were being over charged an recharged. Corporate said it is all there I'm our account. For us to take our receipt back to get our rewards certificate added to purchase. We're talking 99.,00 dollars vs 39.99. with price matching an our reward certificate an credits. We still got charged close to 70 dollars...no geek squad..ye, U see. Wife called back to speak with Mgt(over speaker entire family to hear). An explained. Wife told her we called corporate she said rudely, What do they want us to do about it. Wife even told her. very sorry for any confusion (as if wife caused) wife told her again she has aniexty really bad as we explained at counter. Wife still felt though she was the freak or weird one over the phone an at the counter. Because they didn't get it. Because I knew what to do an they would not even listen to me the husband even explained at the counter all what was going on. Very calm. Not to mention what all Wife had to deal with the entire week. Due to orders getting cancelled an correction if amount charged. Few day later we went back, different cashier no Mgt in sight. Scanned our rewards certificate barcode pulled up on same phone had day of issue with Mgt an cashier.. which was a ZTE Axon...not a cheap phone bought at Best Buy. all my information up an matched my I D and receipt..an just like that ! All within a minute. Cashier said, don't see why they made it so hard. I almost said, your MGT. Not mine. Instead we smiled and said, Thank you so very kindly. So now we await for credit from already paying over phone for these wireless ear buds to...
Read moreI originally had bought a refrigerator from home depot and they delivered it today but it was too big for Myspace because I didn't measure for the baseboards. So what I wound up doing was sending it back and it was damaged because they tried to squeeze it in the space and they gashed the side.
Needless to say I wound up going to Best Buy and I actually got a better deal on a refrigerator that was a little smaller side-by-side. Add I got 18 months no interest financing for using my Best Buy card and there was no delivery charge as long as I bought a water line from them for $29.
It was a no brainer. I was frustrated at this point because I had already sold my old refrigerator and it was gone so I had no choice but to try and find one and I had been without a refrigerator since Thursday. At 1st the one that was on sale at Best Buy she said might not be in stock for 2 weeks so I decided I should buy a small Mini fridge in the meantime.
However when she looked on line she said they had some in stock and they would bring it to my home on Tuesday morning between 7 and 1:00 p.m.
The lady at the Veterans and I 10 location was very sweet to me. Their whole staff was great and very knowledgeable and she did her best to help me with Myspace to find a refrigerator in my budget that I could afford and that would be delivered sooner than later.
If you have never dealt with Best Buy you should give them a try because they price match and sometimes they are better then the big Box store home depot.
I was also very disappointed with home depot the way they handled the refund on my credit card.
I will think twice now before using anybody but Best Buy in the future.
I am thankful to the kind people who by the end of my transaction was having me laughing instead of crying.
These people deserve a raise because I'm not the easiest lady to deal with but I try to work on that with each time I shop somewhere.
I love these people.
God-bless them for putting up with me on such a stressful occasion.
I will recommend them 1000%....
PS. Would you guys consider putting A Best Buy in the East we could sure use one....
