New Orleans Hamburger & Seafood Co. — Restaurant in Louisiana

We ordered to-go. First we went to the wrong location, not knowing there were multiple locations (my fault). Ended up driving around 20 minutes, one way 40 minutes round trip driving pretty fast from Gentilly. Kind of annoying but I’m ok with it because I wanna try their food… Picked it up and the spaghetti was sideways. Sauce was coming out a bit but I just put it upright and back on top. No problem. Get back to our house in Gentilly and open up ready to tear it up, thinkin “Gator balls goin down” and WHAT? Where’s the frickin sauce? I know I saw sauce… looked it back up on my phone and there’s some kind of sauce in picture. I would have loved to try that. The gator ball was good but I dunno… I’ll just leave it at that… Then I go for the seafood pasta I opened it and see French bread slices not toasted not seasoned. Maybe brushed with butter? Looking at a pile of fried shrimp on top the pasta I start to dig in. The flavor is ok but something’s kinda not there. Where are the crawfish? I’m digging around and I start finding a few bits and then I see a couple of the smallest tails I’ve ever seen in my life, seriously as small as my pinky finger nail. I ate my meal but I’m not here to brag about it… The people were friendly at both locations....

We visited the location on Veterans on 7.16.2019 and ordered the thin remou comb. This was our 1st time to stop here, the food was okay but i think we would have preferred regular cut catfish. The problem we experience was after placing the order my husband asked if they offered military discounts. The cashier said yes but he had to go to the back to check n rework the receipt. Our order was $30+ and when he returned the discount was .50. We really do appreciate companies offering military discounts because they really don't have to offer anything at all. And also I realize we should have mentioned it "before" we ordered, but I can't even explain how shameful ridiculous this was. We could have easily accepted that they did not offer a military discount than to come back with .50. Whereas our waitress was friendly, we were finished n needed a small takeout. Our waitress was at another table conversating which was fine, but i was able to go to the little girls room, pick up a small to go box from the counter, box it up and then on the way out the door, (we had to pass her up still talking) she thanked us for coming in and to have a nice day. My husband and I stopped by shortly before closing (8:38 pm), on a Thursday evening (01/30/25), after getting off a flight from Atlanta (home). Elvira was distracted by preparing to close, the customer service was questionable (we could have used some assistance with the menu). Also it wasn't helpful that her English was limited, and she wasn't inclined to ask a coworker to better accommodate our visit. The order was to go, albeit the person who appeared to be the one who prepared the food, presented us with the meal. The order was extremely unsatisfactory! There was a major discrepancy between the price and the portion (the two item platter was ordered- thick catfish and shrimp). We have been patrons of other locations, and enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately we will no longer make this establishment, as a whole, apart of our visits to the city. Had the time of evening, and the distance not been a factor. We would have returned the food and subsequently demanded a refund! A response from a company representative that specializes in customer service, with authority, would be greatly...
