This is the first time I have ever posted a review and I was so disappointed with this places service and tone that I had to post a review.
I took a JL W7 to get sent off to the JL Factory for repair and they said they wouldnt cause I didnt buy it from them. After calling JL just to make sure I didnt have to purchase the sub from the authorized dealer, and they said you didnt need a receipt or buy it from them originally.
I left my Sub up there on Saturday, after might i mention they closed early at 1PM because "There was no body coming in so we just left early..." and had to wait 20minutes for the shop owner to come take my sub.
They were suppose to call Tuesday and they didnt. I called Wednesday to only get a voice recorder. I left a message to call me back and they didnt. I called back again Friday to get once again a voice recorder. They called me back with the message that they will not do anything with the sub and to come pick it up (in a rude tone).
I called up to ask why and they explain because It was not purchased from them. I told the lady that I would come pick up my sub today and with a extremely rude tone said "ok, bye" and hung up.
I have never had such poor quality of customer service in such times of hard economic recession. When customer service should be at its best to attract return customers they shun away wealthy customers with no recollection for word of mouth business and...
Read moreI made the mistake of taking my car to Area 41. I brought it to them to have a front & rear dashcam wired and a radar detector wired.
Area 41 was unable to correctly wire both after 3+ attempts and I ended up having to fix it myself.
Originally, the front to rear cable that was brand new I provided didn't work and they charged me $60+ to re-do it. (keep in mind that was "half off") Shouldn't they test that before installing it?
The work was about $180 and I had to spend time fixing their mistakes to make the hardwiring work. The main issue was that both the radar detector and the dashcam wouldn't turn off when the ignition was off and they claimed it was a "new car" and it didn't work like that. It drained my battery overnight and Area 41 told me to just leave it. They weren't particularly eager to fix the problem and just wanted me out of there.
I fixed the problem myself in 5 minutes with 1 Google search and my limited knowledge so now both devices turn on and off with the ignition. If everyone there is that incompetent that they can't wire a dashcam and radar detector but I can with no background in that field, I wouldn't trust Area 41 with any vehicle.
Area 41 told me they wire all of their cars like that. I hate to think who else they've screwed over. I'd like a refund for at least some of the incorrect...

This is my 2nd time coming here...the first time they helped me with my issue but the 2nd time I went they were not helpful...they said they couldn't help me until Friday and it's only Tuesday....smh. Sounds like you are under staffed and need to hire. I'm very disappointed and will take my business somewhere else.
I came in before 5pm first off and if you need to have an appointment you need to advertise that so that let's people know that you dont accept walk ins. If I needed an appointment I would of called you but no one ever told me I needed to make an appointment. I believe you might want to look at hiring another person so you dont lose customers. You dont know what kind of business I would have brought to you. But that is your loss not mine.
