The Avenue West Cobb — Local services in Kennesaw

This place has beautiful furniture, but my experience left much to be desired. I bought a great looking leather sectional sofa and a coffee table made from reclaimed wood. The coffee table I wanted was ready that day; however, it was going to take a couple of weeks for the sofa to be ready. Because of this, I decided to have the table delivered with the sofa.

The table that arrived wasn't the table I bought. It is still a nice table, but it's a completely different color. The table I bought was mostly teal/turquoise, which is why I bought that one, and the table I got is maybe 5% teal. I called to tell the manager this and they LIED! They said the table I wanted was already bought by someone else and was in the store just for display. However, the day I bought the table they were ready to give it to me then (we measured it to see if it would fit in the car and everything). I'm the one that suggested they keep it and deliver it with the sofa! They stuck with their story… they did offer to discount it 10% (whoop-dee-doo!!!! $50 off for a table I did not order).

So, onto the sofa. After about two months I began noticing weird patches of discoloration. They aren't scratch marks and I couldn't really describe them when I called in again. It kinda looks like someone rubbed patches of the sofa with sandpaper… but it wasn't like that when the sofa arrived. After going back and forth with them I eventually just gave up and decided to live with it.

I wouldn't have minded the issue with the table as much if they would have owned up to their screw-up. I do like the table I received, which is why I didn't return it, but it's not the table I bought. The two people I dealt with were definitely arrogant a-holes. Maybe since I was a college student at the time, they didn't care about me. I could have exchanged the sofa, but after talking with them several times I decided not to bother with dealing with these people, then having to ship it and finally wait for the replacement. I basically ended up spending thousands of dollars just to be inconvenienced and didn't get what I actually paid for. Oh, well, the pillows I bought were correct so they did get one thing right. Went for dinner with my wife and some friends. The service was awful. I understand it was a group of nine people but, come on!!!!! There is a problem when the salad comes out before the cocktail and the appetizer, when the calamaries finally made it to the table they were cold. There was one person in the group who got the food until the rest of us were finished, she had to watch us eat, come on!!!!! I wanted to order a glass of wine to pair my Chicken Marsala, but the waiter was not around. By the time I got my Chardanai my food was cold, the coordination of food and beverages left a bad taste in my mouth. I love shopping at this location because of JCrew factory! Their staff & customer service are great & the clothing fits my family’s lifestyle! I love that I can come go there and it’s like a one stop shop! The clothing is great quality at affordable prices and they always have great sales & events!
