Ordered through uber eats - unbelievably horrible.
Cheese dip is watered down, no flavor, small portion for the price.
I ordered green enchiladas, I got limp corn tortillas wrapped around overcooked chicken with raw onions on top which I hope was sitting out for hours under a lamp based on how it looked and tasted. Also it wasn't green, or red, it tasted so acidic that it was hard to swallow the only bite I bothered taking. Pico had very sad, old tomatoes, awful green paste called guac with no texture.
Fiance ordered carne asada. The meat was honestly like I got extremely old frozen beef, pounded it wafer thin and then cooked it for 45 minutes. No flavor but the onions tasted okay. Canned poblano pepper, and fried potatoes which are very soggy, obviously reheated.
I just have to ask why? Why not just buy canned enchilada sauce? It tastes miles better. Why not buy sour cream that costs $1 more and isnt tasteless liquid? Why not just buy tortilla chips that aren't bitter tasting? Cilantro is cheap, how can you even have rotten cilantro and then serve it? How do you not go through tomatoes fast enough to prevent rotting?
Honestly it isnt like we ordered last second or ordered on a tuesday at 3pm. I'm blown away that anyone can put this food out and stay in business, much less garner 4+...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLast night I was with friends at Hidalgos where a drink neither ordered or consumed was added to my bill. At first I assumed it was a mistake as did the others I was with, but when mentioned to the server he said I received it and he wasn't chnging it. His adament and aggressive response took me back some. I decided to just pay the bill and not make a scene. On the way out I mentioned what happened to the owner. He took immediate offense saying the server was his son and if he said the bill was correct that was final. I said that was a qustionable way to treat a repeat customer, especially over $6. He told me if I didn't like it, not to come back. Now I question what I thought was a mistake may have been a deliberate attempt to pad the bill. I am shocked any business would treat a customer like that and allow them to leave feeling cheated over such a little thing. The only thing I can do is no longer support this restaurant do to what appears to be a lack of interity and the poor customer service I received there. For those of you who do go to Hidalgos, I would suggest you get an itemized bill and review it closely for add-ons Also, retain your check copy to ensure the proper amount is charged. After this incident, I will be ecstatic when LaParilla reopens on...

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, but I left quite underwhelmed and thought the food was quite pricy for how dirty and poorly maintained the place was. I mean the first thing I noticed was the build up of grease on the floors. Itās likely over 1/8ā thick or more in some areas.
The food was just okay. Certainly nothing unique but it was executed well with decent portion sizes. I had the Burrito Mexicano, and I would give it a 6.5 out of 10, my mother enjoyed her meal and margarita, two of my kids enjoyed their quesadillas, and my other kid had chicken fingers⦠I would say he liked it, but heās going through a round of food poisoning at the moment.
Our bill was around $100 post-tip for one appetizer, two adult entrees, three kids meals, five drinks, and one alcoholic beverage. I guess thatās fair, but it felt pretty high for the overall experience. I just think there are more affordable establishments nearby that are in much better shape, with food thatās...
