I found Oliver while looking to purchase a replacement back for my one of my wife's earrings. When I walked into the shop I noticed how Oliver treated his customers and he actually listened and was not pushy at all. I had been looking for some time to purchase a new wedding/engagement ring set for my wife but she has very particular taste. After speaking with Oliver I brought my wife into his establishment and let her pick out and design what she wanted. She and Oliver designed the ring set, and went over all the extra fine details she wanted added. We also decided on a great way to surprise her with it as the custom set was completed weeks ahead of time. Upon being presented with her new rings my wife was blown away! She has not stopped admiring her new ring set since I put them on her finger. There is nothing Oliver can't do when it comes making a customer happy. The craftsmanship, attention to detail, and his willingness to go above and beyond to complete his work really makes this best jeweler I have ever met. I’ve been a customer here for many years even after I relocated to another area of Cobb County that’s 45 minutes driving distance away. They tend to replace all of my watch batteries and with Oliver, the owner, I would never have a problem. Lately, when I come in, his son has been there and he unfortunately is not as personable. He told me today he “didn’t have time” to replace just one watch battery that typically takes them 5 minutes to do. I have warranties on several watch batteries with them. I drove 45 minutes to continue to patronize this small business and arrived 30 minutes before they close only to be turned around. I don’t need to spend my money any more at a place that operates as such and their customer service has severely deteriorated. I’d recommend the owner consider being more involved with how his long-term customers are regarded and treated when he is not around. I came here to get my engagement ring cleaned and polished. My fiancé bought me an oxidized silver ring, and I unfortunately had no idea that the color of oxidized silver easily comes off with prolonged wear. After over a year of wear, my ring was 2 different colors, and I was very tired of it looking that way, so I came to The Jewelsmith and met Oliver.
