Nobody wants to help you. Nobody knows where anything is. The store was 85+ degrees inside on a hot day. I was there for almost an hour to exchange an online order WITH NO LINE. The people at the customer service counter talk to each other more than they do customers. Nobody works with any sort of urgency what so ever. Probably because it's 85 degrees inside. One blonde guy looked like he just rolled out of bed and hadn't showered in a week. He obviously didn't care to be there or deal with anyone. Couldn't be bothered. Just collecting a check. And that's the "customer service" desk.
After finally getting a refund on a gift card so I could buy the replacement I couldn't find it. I asked one of the customer service guys where the humidifiers are and he pointed me next to the other registers. It turns out those were air conditioners. The guy literally didn't know what a humidifier was and he's working customer service at a hardware store. What in the actual?
I talked to 5 different people and the only one that was of ANY use at all was a woman named Celene. She was helpful and actually understood customer service and her job. Everyone else couldn't be bothered to help or literally didn't know anything about the store they work in every day. One guy looked right at me standing at the counter and just walked the other way. She said he was "the new guy".
After finally finding out where the humidifier was that they said they had in stock online it was 20 ft in the air in a wrapped pallet. Their entire stock of them. So I had to wait about 15 min for them to get the pallet down. They ended up not even having the other item they said they had in stock, nobody could find any actually in stock.
I will never order anything from home depot online ever again either. Just use Amazon if they have it. Much much better experience for online ordering. The only reason I ordered from HD was they would ship it faster. It was $6 more than amazon but 5 days faster.
They shipped me a humidifier that was an obvious customer return that had hair in it and broken parts. Then I had to return it to the store because they wouldn't just send me a new one and pick this one up. The whole process sucks. Home depot sucks now. Unless you need some over priced tools or some materials that may or may not be in stock don't bother.
It didn't used to be like this. We have the highest minimum wage in the country, you'd think we could get some people that actually work for the money you pay them and maybe care a little bit about keeping their job. Minimum wage still means minimum effort even if it is...

I will never work with Home Depot again. My husband and I decided to give them another chance and let them do our window install.
Window installers came out all the way from Vancouver and did a decent job. The problem came a week after they left.
The city is set to come tomorrow to inspect the windows. Yesterday, Home Depot called and threatened my husband that if he did not pay the bill, it would be sent to collections.
The windows were only finished a little over a week ago. It hasn't even been 30 days! We said we would pay, we were just waiting on the Cities inspection as we didn't consider the job completed until it passed inspection. (As per the contract)
The women from Home Depot said that if we didn't pay that very day, we would be sent to collections. I have never in my life experience such predatory behavior from a representative like that.
I'm going to be looking further into this. My husband and I always pay our bills, in fact we paid our last bill with Home Depot on time and in full.
I'll be reporting them to the better Business bureau and seeing what else I can do as this was disgusting. I will never go through Home Depot again.
First review: We went through Home Depot for our Quartz counter tops, new smart fridge, and new convection double oven.
The Good: Home Depot matched prices of other stores on the fridge and stove. The process for ordering the kitchen counter was fairly easy and we even got money back when they sent out the guy to measure our countertops.
The Bad: Counter Tops were delivered by two guys that looks to be about 21-22. They were pretty talkative and I could hear them in the other room talking about questionable things. I didn't care as long as they installed my counter tops well. Which they did.
EXCEPT, they dented my microwave, and also put a hole in my wall. And worst of all, they put a small scratch on my new fridge. I had offered to move it out of the way and they had refused, so I'm salty about that.
The other bad thing is my stove. I ordered it and they said delivery would take 5 months. That was fine, as the kitchen was set to be done by then. Delivery date came, and I got notice I now have to wait another 3 months for it. I wish they would have told me originally it was on such a bad back order because the place they price matched it from had some in stock to deliver right away. Now I am going to be waiting another 3 months for a stove I paid for over 5...
Read moreI shop at this store a lot and I've gotten great customer service from a couple of workers there, but lately, I've encountered many workers that look like they hate their job and don't want to even say hi. In the last week i have spent about $1000 and also just opened a credit card with home depot to purchase a fridge and other household items and it saddens and angers me that after all the money I've given to that company, i cant get at least good customer service. The fridge that i just bought got delivered to my house and after the driver left i installed it and noticed that the door didn't close/latch. So i called the store to tell them what was going on and they told me that they would give me a call back as soon as they found out when i could get it replaced and delivered. 2hrs later and no call. I called and nobody could give me an answer because "appliances" was a "tricky" department. So i got transferred to someone else who never answered, then called again, then got trasferred again, then again, then a wait of 15 mins on the phone, until i got to speak to the same girl i spoke to earlier. She told me that she's bwen busy but that she will tell her manager about it and then i will receive a call. An hr later and i finally got a call from a lady who i think it was the same and she told me that there was nobody to deliver for today anymore because it was late so i have to wait until monday for my fridge( it's friday today). I told her my food was going to spoil because of it and she suggested to tape the door shut because there was nothing else she could do. Well, i waited all day!!! I called and called an was on hold and waited again and it is just not my fault that i got late and my fridge cant be delivered today. I seriously expected better from home depot. I think i will now shop at Lowe's and i will cancel my credit card with home depot. A loyal customer and thousands of...
