Levity Hair Studio — Local services in Kent Island

First, I would like to state; Although I only ever go to TINA, here at Levity, EVERY SINGLE STYLIST is SO talented. I can not say enough about this salon. They definitely hand picked all of the BEST stylists because when you come to Levity, no matter who you see, you are getting THE BEST. I have been coming to Levity for about four years now and I have never been disappointed. From all natural to dark color to very blonde, to short, to long- They go above and beyond. Every time walking in, it feels like Home. Always being greeted with great attitudes and smiles. Music going and the vibes are just great. Besides the vibes, the reasons I love the salon.. They are very thorough, they EDUCATE you on your hair, and deliver on what you want. Education to me is HUGE huge huge no matter what I am getting done. For me, Tina is always so honest about what I want done. If I go in with a picture and she feels my hair wont "deliver" that same look or I may not be happy with it, she will tell me. Ultimately giving me the power to make the decision but with her professional education behind it. I truly LOVE this salon. If you are on the fence about changing salons, or don't have you you love, or maybe you haven't been to a salon in a while..just go in and see for yourself. You will not be...

This salon is, without a question, the BEST salon I have ever been to! From the cleanliness of the salon and ambience, the quality of service to the skill in hair, I will never go anywhere else as long as I live in MD!

I had the luxury of having stylist, Maddie, for my first visit to Levity (I am newish to the island) and have no intention of putting my hair in the hands of anyone else. She is incredibly friendly and insanely talented. I’ve had three visits with her now and each time I leave smiling bigger than I did the time before. This is due to a combination of my hair looking incredible AND her chair-side manner.

Additionally, I have NEVER had a stylist really (like really!) teach me how to do styling techniques, not ever. I learn by doing and to have the chance to try it with her beside me and providing instructions nearly blew my mind!

The lovely ladies who provide hair washing and treatments are also great. They made genuine conversation and are incredibly considerate. Heck, the ladies at the front desk are amazing. Friendly, warm and welcoming! I’ve never been made to feel an inconvenience or bother as I have at other salons when checking in or out.

I’m telling you, if you’re in the market for a fabulous salon (they do nails and massages too!) look no further...

Not at all worth the money. I’m not sure what qualifications are needed to work here but my stylist had no idea what she was doing. Would not recommend this salon if you have anything important planned. My hair doesn’t even look like my picture. Absolutely would never come here again. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a salon. My hair feels so dry and brittle now and looks an about mess after only a couple hours.

Response: It is a complete lie to say I was told my stylist was in training. Not only was I booked quickly with no information other than what time my stylist would be there, I was told nothing about her not being an actual stylist. I would never and have not ever booked a hair appointment with an apprentice. Also I did say it was a blow out and up do which they had me in the salon from 10am til 1pm and had multiple stylist say “I have to much hair for a Pamela Anderson bun”, AFTER being told when I arrived that “we would have to see if I even have enough hair for this updo”. This salon is just sad for the lack of accountability and actually saying I was informed the person was in training is ridiculous to charge someone full price for a person in training to take 4 hours to blow dry and put my hair in a...
