Looking at the reviews, I wish I wouldâve read this before , I made an appointment The only reason I am giving one star is because the students did great. In fact, the girl that was to do my hair was shaking terribly, before we started and I just told her to take a moment and take a couple breaths. Itâs just hair!! We had a great interaction during the time of my consultation and treatment. Other ladies came out and assessed my hair and the situation and deemed the right steps to get the curls it wasnât until Iâm guessing the director interjected and changed the whole energy of my appointment. I asked a simple question in regards to the way my hair was being curled and it shot off a floodgates of power control by the owner. She walked up with an energy and first thing she says â they are students She came with such an aggressive energy that it was unbecoming. I have never been treated in such a manner if a client is sitting in your chair, they have a right to ask a question. I do understand this is a school. This is how they learn. She wasnât around for the consultation. She wasnât around during the treatment. And when she walked up to me, I extended my hand to introduce myself to her, and she stood there in the nastiest way with her arms folded across her stomach, and that was my first interaction with her her energy proceeded her It wasnât until the question rose that she Iâm assuming was uneasy, and then advise that the students were uncomfortable, which both had said they were NOT and then proceeded to have them undo my hair let me leave with a wet hair in the cold in November. Iâve been to other places and hands-down have never been treated this way. I will not recommend this place any one, Your school has a nasty nice director and she comes off very rude And her customer service is awful. I was totally dissatisfied with my experience. I highly recommend that the two students who did my hair not follow her example and how she treated a client today. Please do the opposite. I hope that you guys speak up for yourself and have a voice because you pay to go there. It seems like sheâs more of a dictator. And how can anyone learn In an environment THAT FOSTERS HOSTILITY, AND YOUâRE NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE AN OPINION OR QUESTION AND where they feel uncomfortable with the leads that are supposed to instruct them unfortunately,
THE owner is the representation that I received today and from that this place is getting 10 thumbs down!!! Do better black woman!! Your reflection of your craft and character and I dare wouldnât have you put your hands in my head with your awful energy!!! And after reviewing the other reviews, Iâm sure your clap back will be just As dry n crusty as your attitude today!! I wouldnât even recommend students attend the school run fast and not slow to...
Read moreI am never one to give reviews, but this is different.
I had a tour of the school about a month ago, and asked Theresa if they accepted the Post 9/11 GI bill as that is what I planned on using to pay for the program. She then told me that they do not accept that in their school. I proceeded to tell her "I am sorry, but I am looking to use the bill as it covers the cost of the program and will be looking elsewhere" I also thanked her for her time. After this she proceed to roll her eyes while practically pushing me out the door.
They stopped contacting me for a fews weeks. But after those few weeks, they started contacting me again. I get at least a call a day from the school (while I understand I agreed for this when giving my information to the school, this is quite crazy). After leaving several voicemails and not hearing back, you would think they would get the memo. I recently had to block the number as I had asked them to stop reaching out to me and they continued to do so.
The school honestly looked a mess, there is no rhyme or reason to the layout which makes the school and students look disorganized.
Very disappointed with my experience, and will be advising others to not even look into the school.
I am sure I will be put to blame for this, as all of the other low reviews had...
Read moreEnrolling in the Esthetics program at Mosley School of Cosmetology has truly been a life-changing experience. From the very beginning, I felt supported, inspired, and encouraged to reach my full potential. The instructors are knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in helping each student master both the technical and professional aspects of esthetics.
The hands-on training is outstanding â we gain real experience with facials, waxing, lash services, and advanced skincare techniques in a professional setting. The feedback and guidance from the instructors helped me grow in confidence and skill every step of the way.
I especially want to recognize Theresa Mosley, the director, for the incredible impact sheâs had on my journey. Her support, leadership, and belief in me helped change my life in so many ways. She goes above and beyond for her students, making sure we not only learn our craft but also believe in ourselves and our ability to succeed.
Mosley School of Cosmetology is more than just a school â itâs a community that builds confidence, character, and career-ready professionals. Iâm so grateful to have been part of this program, and I would highly recommend it to anyone passionate about...
