Spencer's — Local services in Kentwood

Hey, Spencer’s. A little bit of a backstory here.. I have gotten 9 or 10 piercings done by screaming needle and have never had an issue, so when your employee says, “Snug is not a proper term for a piercing, don’t use it.” And “never go to screaming needle, they suck” it really upsets me. I asked a, very sweet, older lady if your store sells snug piercings. She kindly got a taller man, he had a few ear piercings and a nose hoop and from the start was rude. Maybe work on getting better employees. I can honestly say, I have NEVER gone into spencer’s and left with nothing. That will definitely change because I am not going back to the woodland mall spencer’s in Grand Rapids, Mi. I worked in customer service for years, keep your opinions to yourself and don’t make your customers feel like an idiot! I also know that me not returning isn’t much of an issue as I think it is, but this man has ruined my experience with your store and I am extremely upset. I’ll be going to the Spencer’s in the other malls from now on, I’ll also continue spending my money at...

I don't normally bother leaving reviews, but the guy working the morning of August 17th was very standoffish and rude to my friend and I. We weren't greeted when entering the store, which didn't bother me. But as we walked around, there would be times where he'd appear in the same aisle and clearly not be doing anything but standing there and watching us. My friend and I were mostly just browsing, and she was carrying the item she wanted to purchase. When we went to check out, he didn't really say anything except ask her for an ID. She got her ID out no problem, but then he scoffed when he looked at it. As if he thought she was definitely lying about being 19. I don't know what his problem with us was. We weren't being loud or anything. All we did was talk about the different merchandise as we walked around, and there were only several other customers there...

I greatly appreciate this location so much! I’ve had the best customer service here more than any other location, every single employee is incredible! They make you feel safe, are so kind, check in with you- while still giving you space. Every person at this location deserves a raise in my opinion! Whether I’m grabbing a t-shirt or whatever, it’s the same exact incredible service every time. Thank you guys!! A shout out to Amaree- they are a sweetheart, I’m not sure on (I believe) the managers name, but they’re awesome as well!! I highly recommend...
