119 on North Boutique — Local services in Kernersville

As someone who loves supporting local small businesses and has worked in retail for 15 years, 119 has possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

My husband and I received some very lovely and generous gifts from a family friend for our new baby from here, but a few of the pieces didn’t fit. We had a gift receipt and so I was excited to exchange them for something else that would fit as we loved all of the pieces they gave us. The associate who helped us made a big deal about it being outside of their 14 day return policy which is absurd for gifts anyway, but said she could make an exception and give us store credit.

While she was processing the items she instead refunded the original payment method, meaning it went back on the card of the people who gifted them to us. When we asked if they could cancel the transaction to give us store credit they said that wasn’t possible. We asked if we could then just take our gifts back and they also said no because they had refunded the items to the family who gifted them to us so we couldn’t have them back. Seriously?

Their only solution was for us to call the family who gave us the gifts and try to work it out amongst ourselves which is possibly the most absurd thing I can imagine. When we told them how insane that was the owner Anna then proceeded to yell at us that we were disrespecting a small business and that they were allowed to make mistakes but that it wasn’t their responsibility to correct them.

It is extremely important to me to shop small businesses and keep my money in the local community, but I certainly will not be...

My favorite local boutique, hands down!! The girls at 119 are so incredibly sweet. The staff are always helpful & attentive. They carry a wide selection of styles and sizes, making it impossible to not find something perfect to wear!! You can walk in this beautifully decorated store & leave with everything you need...from earrings to shoes. 119 on North has you covered!! This is my favorite boutique to shop in Kernersville! I am from Greensboro but don't hesitate to make the short drive to downtown Kernersville in order to shop here! Jenn and Anna and the entire staff are amazing. Always helpful and so friendly. The shop itself is wonderful.....stocked so well and such a good variety of all kinds of items. From clothing to gift items you can certainly find it here! The quality and pricing is excellent. I will continue to shop here and tell friends to come here as well. I highly recommend this...
