I cannot even begin to explain how much I love H-E-B. Honestly, it’s not just a grocery store for me—it’s an experience, and one of the biggest reasons I keep coming back, week after week, is because of Jaden. Yes, H-E-B has the best selection, the freshest produce, and deals that make shopping actually fun instead of stressful, but what makes it really stand out is the amazing employees, and especially Jaden.
Jaden is by far the best cashier and worker at H-E-B. Every time I walk through those doors, I secretly hope I’ll get in his line because I know he’s going to make my day better. He has this energy about him that just makes you feel comfortable and welcome, like you’re not just another customer, but a person he’s genuinely glad to see. Jaden is fast, professional, and super efficient, but he never rushes you in a way that feels cold. He has the perfect balance of being quick at his job while still taking the time to chat or smile in a way that makes you feel seen.
Something I’ve always admired about Jaden is his hair. For the longest time, he would have colorful hair—sometimes bold, bright shades that would instantly catch your eye when you walked into the store. It felt like a signature part of his personality. Seeing Jaden with a pop of blue or a streak of purple was like seeing a splash of art in the middle of a grocery store run. Now, his hair is black, and honestly, it suits him just as much. It’s a different look, but it makes him look sharp, confident, and mature, while still carrying that same fun, positive energy that he’s always had. Whether his hair is colorful or black, Jaden always manages to stand out because of who he is as a person.
I’ve had countless interactions with Jaden over the months, and every single one has been positive. He remembers little things—like if I had a rough day before, or if I bought something I was excited to try. It’s those details that make shopping at H-E-B feel less like a chore and more like visiting a place where people actually care. Jaden sets the standard for what amazing customer service should look like, and it’s clear he takes pride in his work.
The truth is, H-E-B has always been my favorite grocery store, but Jaden makes it unbeatable. The store is always clean, well-stocked, and easy to navigate, but the employees are what make it really shine. Jaden, in particular, is the kind of person who represents H-E-B’s values perfectly—friendly, hardworking, and always willing to go the extra mile for customers. You can tell that he genuinely loves what he does, and that joy spreads to everyone who crosses his register.
I honestly think more people should recognize employees like Jaden, because he’s the reason people like me remain loyal customers. If I could give ten stars just for him, I would. I’ve been to plenty of other grocery stores, but none of them have a Jaden. None of them have someone with that bright, positive attitude, that patience, that kindness, and that dedication to his work.
So, to sum it all up: I love H-E-B. I love the selection, the prices, the freshness, the variety—but most of all, I love the people. And when I think of H-E-B, the first person I think of is Jaden. Whether his hair is colorful or now black, Jaden is always a burst of positivity in my day. He is hands-down the best cashier and worker at H-E-B, and I truly hope the company knows how lucky they are to have him.
If you’re going to H-E-B and you see Jaden working, do yourself a favor and go to his line. Trust me, it will make your shopping trip so much better.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for H-E-B, but...

Going through checkout lane 10 with cashier Shay. She's saying something almost in a whisper. I said "I'm sorry I didn't hear you". Shay just shakes her head and says nothing. I pay in cash and she hands my change back and this time I can hear her say "here" with her hand out and my change in it. Not the first time Shay has been this rude and it's not only with me but the customer in front of me got the same rude treatment. She'd probably do better if she wasn't working directly with the public. One day she's going to be rude to a person who's going to give her the same rude attitude.

I have six items so I go through the self-checkout registers. I'm scanning my items and there's a bag with I believe is ground beef in a bag. I didn't notice it because it was the kind in a packaged roll of ground beef. A HEB "employee" named Myra comes up and says "you ain't possed to use this one, someone is using it". I look around and say where are they? There's no sign up and nobody standing here. Myra says "uggg someone's using it" and proceeds to move the bagged ground beef to another register for her friend she was attempting to hold the register for. She also flipped her badge around so I couldn't read her name but to late Myra I seen it as soon as you came up to me and invaded my personal space. Myra is a very rude employee and she's only one reason I always record when I'm at this HEB location. Not the first time I've encountered a rude HEB employee at this location or one who won't scan your coupons or a employee who forces a disabled person with CHF and a IMPLANTED AICD and NYHA III etc etc to walk all the way around the store just to checkout because it's busy and they want to form a single line to the registers yet let's her friend through so she doesn't have to walk all the way around. Steer clear of the self-checkout if Myra is there.
Today I'm doing my shopping because it's not as busy as the weekend. I get in lane 11 (?) and the cashier Mikayla B. has a angry look on her face. I say hello and she says nothing. I'm like okay, everyone has a bad day and I go to start bagging my groceries. Mikayla B. finished scanning my items and just stares at me while I finish bagging groceries. Once I'm done she says it's $60.47. I tell her I'm paying cash and she sticks out her hand and I accidentally hand her $62 so she tosses the other dollar on the conveyer belt and hands me the change. So the next time I go to HEB I'm going to let the HEB employees do their job and they'll bag my groceries. If it slows down the line well that's the fault of the rude HEB employees...
Read moreThis HEB is fantastic. It has great spreads of many different varieties of goods, and it's very well organized. The whole right third of the store is self care, the entire back wall and left side is food, and the middle/front is toys, a small electronics section, and flowery things.
Food I have yet to find something that they don't carry, though this experience can be different for others. They have an awesome delicatessen, a large cheese section, and all your typical grocery aisles. They even have a small section dedicated to Eastern imported foods. The alcohol section is primarily dedicated to wines and large bottles of spirits, only carrying popular 24 packs of canned/bottled booze. They also have a pretty good fresh fruits and veg area at the front left of the store. They carry the basics, and some cool things like durian or rambutan.
Self Care They have a huge selection of toothpaste, brushes, shampoo, and probably makeup (though I don't really know about that). They have a pharmacy that is helpful and can point you towards what you're looking for.
Middle Area They have 2-4 aisles dedicated to toys and school supplies, though their selection is quite limited. They have a lot of cheap notebooks though. Next to this is a small area with a kiosk that contains electronic things. Video games, music, movies, most of it is the latest releases, or those old movies nobody has really seen but everyone can quote. It's good if you need something general in an emergency situation, but the employee that's stationed there is very helpful, I would recommend asking them if they carry what your looking for before trying to peruse their items. The flower section is diverse, with all kinds of smelly flowers and other arrangements. My grandmother got a bamboo staircase that is still alive approximately 2 years later.
HEB is kind of known for their customer service, and this one doesn't fail to impress. Everyone knows what they're about, and if they can't point you directly to what your looking for, they can give you the aisle number that you'd likely find it or a substitute for. The location is clean, and has nice bathrooms in the front of the store in front of the registers, and has plenty of parking. The location is well placed as well, central to multiple neighborhoods, though it's not crowded on an...
