placed three stars for food cause I ate it while working there
Not much hate towards them, but the managers are not too great. One fired me because I threw a tablet on the ground and because of my attitude. My attitude I could get because I tried to give three separate people food, just to find out it’s not theirs and was told to run a dine in. The tablet situation has me completely lost. If I was to throw a tablet on the ground then I would have gotten an invoice, or I would have gotten charged. It was a simple bag for a tablet that fell. But then they try to hire my friend after firing me, then terminates them before he could start his first day because of a simple app. An app that he didn’t even know how to set up. When I didn’t know how to set it up someone had came to help me but when my friend doesn’t know what to do, he gets terminated?? That makes absolutely no sense. I’m not saying who told me this, but I know who told me this with proof. Working there was all good until about my 2-4th month there. I barely talked to anyone because not much of them was worth talking to, or I would have felt ignored completely. They always said to me that they could help be flexible with my schedule so I told them every event that I’ve had going on, from months beforehand to requesting off and asking the day of if I can leave early because of what I had going on. Two days before I got fired I asked to leave at nine and I was schedule till 11. The first manager ignored me flat out and the second manager didn’t let me leave until 50 minutes was left on my whole shift, that led me to being late to my event, and I got fired that very next day. After all of that happened, I lost all respect for that Whataburger. I wish them somewhat the best, but I’ll not be putting my money towards that Whataburger anytime soon, unless I absolutely have to, or unless I’m with someone. Read moreThe manager was very nice... She had to work very hard to correct our order. We had a group of 8. They were only able to get three items right.
We sent the first item back immediately, because it was instantly obvious that they included an ingredient that was requested to be left off due to a legitimate allergy. We then checked and realized that 66% of the order was wrong. There was also hair in the fries.
The manager was very apologetic. They then brought out the first item we had returned. It was wrong again. The manager decided that she would personally remake all of the incorrect items herself because (the guy who was making all the orders) "is really overwhelmed right now."
She did finally get all the items right and even brought out fresh fries. She gave us a voucher for free food in the future. This didn't seem very helpful to me at first (we don't live anywhere near here), but then I remembered that my brother would be in town for several weeks.
In the end, they did get it right, but it was a very frustrating experience. While we were at the restaurant, four more (that we noticed) people returned their food for being wrong. Clearly the people making the orders were not able to do their jobs, but in the end, the manager handled it as best as she could have. Also, the plastic flatware was somehow dirty, despite (I'm assuming?) being new.
I don't often eat at places like this, but if I'm ever back in this town, I will definitely not be returning here. They even got one burger wrong that was supposed to be made the way they normally make them (no special order). Read moreNormally I don't comment on fast food. But today is the day. I have come to this Killeen location maybe 4-5 times over a 3-4yr period. Today ordered x2 patty melt meals. Look at my receipt time stamp. I was 5 cars back waited about 7-8min for them to go thru. Then I became the lead car in front, told to wait just past the window, 5min minutes later young lady came to my window with a drink. Asking did I order a drink. Already was given my 2 drinks. Waiting on food. She then called me someone else name. Then asked what's my name on order. I told her, she said well what did you order, I smiled said x2 patty melt meals. She said I will go check on your order. Another 5-7min go by she comes back with bag. Now I know for sure after all wait time my food should've been freshly hot fries, freshly made patty melt. That was not the case. Fries were barely warm. This is not the first time this has happened. I saw dining room was still open but I just didn't feel like getting out going inside and having to wait another 10min for them to make me some hot fries and new sandwich. Now I know why I don't come here often. I used to tell people go to whataburger they make your food hot and fresh when ordered. This hasn't been the case in years. Now I am officially one with whataburger. You have done this too many times. For $26 this is what I get. Nope never again. Years ago this was not the case food was always hot and fresh cause that's why line is always so long and mind you there were 2 rows of vehicles this time.
