ALDI — Local services in Killingly

I struggle with postpartum depression and I lost my dad not too long ago, this is my first holiday season without him. I ordered a pick up order and I clicked “on my way”. I never clicked that I was there, mind you I had my 6 year old with me. The woman who is in charge of taking my groceries out called me and was very mad, because she had been waiting for ten minutes. I explained to her how sorry I was, and how I had only clicked “on my way” and I would be there as soon as I could. I was there in 5 minutes, I was walking into the store to relieve her because I felt bad. She rudely said where’s your car, I said I was so sorry and that I’d take it from here. She shoved the cart at my daughter and I and walked away. I tried explaining to her what a hard time it’s been and she kept walking. Aldi's was my favorite place to shop but since their remodeling and enlarging the store I have noticed that the prices have gone up on almost everything. They use to be the best price in town but since their prices have gone up I have found that Walmart has been beating their prices for the last month or so. So if you are looking for a good deal on items you need to be aware of what the prices are between Aldi's and Walmart or other nearby stores. I mentioned to some of the staff a couple weeks ago that their prices have gone up since the remodeling and she told me that the prices have gone up because of the cost in gas to bring the items to the store. But the gas prices have been coming down so I don't know why she use that as an excuse! The prices have only gone up since they remodeled our three local stores. Those stores are Dayville,...

What can you say about Aldis. Its my favorite grocery by far. Don't get me wrong they have their problems too such as limited selections and very few mainstream brands. Once you get to know Aldi's brands you can see their quality and pricing is awesome. Their is no cheaper vendor for such items such as breads, milk, cream, butter, chips, eggs and so much more. I still have to shop walmart for some items that are not carried at Aldi's and Aldi's consistently beats them every day on price. One of my favorite finds are the pre-made meals such as sirloin tips with mushroom gravy or the artichoke stuffed chicken beasts just reasonably priced meals that can be cooked in 15 minutes or less that are simply delicious. I can say enough positive things about Aldi's. Now if we can only get a Traders Joe's...
