This unfortunately was a very disappointing experience. We wanted a nice New Year's Day lunch and I had been here before and loved the food and service so we decided to go here. The service was terrible and our food order was wrong and came out cold. First the drink order was wrong. I had asked for unsweetened ice tea and he came back with hot tea and cream. He admitted he forgot what I had ordered (as he didn't write anything down) and just went on a hunch with the warm tea. Then we ordered our lunch. I ordered the Tex Mex Chimichanga with chicken and my husband ordered the Enchilada Trio. Somehow he got my husband order right (again not writing our orders down and had to come back to confirm my husbands order as he admitted he just heard a lot of cheese) as he customized his order to two cheese and one chicken with queso sauce and no salad. When our food came out my order was completely wrong. The waiter AGAIN admitted that all he heard was Tex Mex and chicken. Instead what came out was Tex Mex tacos. The cheese in my husbands enchiladas was luke warm and not even melted. When he came back with my correct order it seemed that they only heated the chimichanga up in the microwave to get it out fast as the center of it was completely cold. Overall the service and food was unacceptable and my family and I will not be going back anytime soon. And on a side note, I would advise our waiter to please get a pen and pad of paper to take orders so this does not happen to other...
Read moreFirstly, we had two Top Shelf Margaritas that tasted very different at first, but then the same. As if one or both were not mixed properly. I also think they opted for the well booze because it did not taste like top shelf. For dinner, I ordered the Asado Burrito with steak and my partner had the Carnitas Tacos. Ignoring for now, the woefully small portions on the Asado plate. The food tasted like it had come frozen in a bag and warmed up in a pot of boiling water. The first two bites of burrito were all tortilla, the beans were a half-inch deep pool next to the way too salty rice. They also charged $3.99 for a glass of soda water from the wand. It reminded me of New England’s early attempts at doing Mexican food. Remember 20 years ago? Hard avocados, ground beef mix and Parmesan cheese? Considering how many new, delicious Mexican spots around (El Patron in Worcester, to name one of a few others), and the $80 bill we had afterwards, I felt compelled to write this review. People know that Mexican food is more than Taco Bell. I couldn’t even finish my meal, it was that bad. The chips and salsa were good, and the Server was sweet, but we’ll...
Read moreJust gross! Upon entering on an early Saturday afternoon, the place was pretty much a ghost town; only two other parties dining. However, when we were seated at a booth, it was clear the table and seats were not wiped down. When our very cordial waiter arrived with the complimentary chips and salsa, we had to ask him to wipe down the table. He apparently realized the place was left a pit, perhaps, from the Friday night crowd, as he proceeded to wipe down several other tables. Now to the meal: clearly the "chefs" are masters of the microwave! Well, not really. The center of my daughter's enchiladas were still refrigerator cold! And flavor? Not so much; the filling was not only cold, but also very bland. So, can we recommend? Absolutely not! Will we return? Maybe....on a cold day in hell! The one star is for the wait staff. They were both better than this reataurant deserve! Bottom line, if you are in the mood for Mexican food, and in the area, you might as well save some money and mock the porcelain god by going, instead, to the Taco Bell...
