Stop & Shop — Local services in Killingly

Hate to be this person but I'm mostly posting to acknowledge great customer service. There's a girl who does the pick up orders that wears a bandana, and everytime I've had her she is so rude. If you don't put the groceries in the car yourself she has a horrible attitude and slams the bags into your car. Happened to me on multiple occasions. My orders are not that heavy to justify slamming or dropping them in. I have a disease where if I'm having a flair up, it's very difficult to move around, lift, etc. I shouldn't have to explain myself or disease to someone who literally gets paid to do this and I pay extra for it. If you don't like your job, find another one! I'm sure there are people in the same boat as me and shouldn't be treated poorly for it. Most times I'm out there helping or go inside and have had AWESOME interactions with the other employees. There's a long dark haired younger girl, never caught her name, but I adore her.

I called today and spoke with a supervisor I didn't catch his name either but he was so sweet. Heard me out and was very sincere. Wasn't his fault and told him how the others have been rockstars. He offered me a discount on my next order. Although super kind I politely declined as that isn't why I called. I've worked in customer service for essentially 16 years and her behavior is unacceptable. Not a good reflection on the store for anyone who hasn't been in there or had other employees. I spend hard earned money there weekly and shouldn't be made to feel like a burden to people when they're doing what they're paid for.

Overall though, this store is great. Always clean and organized. Only had a couple bad produce items but it happens, few and far between. Most all of the employees are wonderful, very kind...

Oof where do I even begin?! What a Thanksgiving NIGHTMARE! First of all, I ordered 4 lbs of crab legs for pick up for thanksgiving. When my husband brought the grocery’s home I realized all we got was two half lbs ( equaling one pound total.) I will say that when I called the woman was helpful in the fact she went looking for more for me and came back saying all she found was another pound And a half snd she would put it aside for me to pick up the next day. . Sent my husband. He gets the other pound she set aside. They don’t offer absolutely anything, for the mess up or the fact we had to go back. so I call to see if they have more. The guy says they have more, but he’s leaving in a half hour but would put them aside. Great. I send my husband, BACK so we have the 4 lbs total by the end of all this. All the crab smelled strongly of a fishy smell. I didn’t know it wasn’t supposed to smell like that because I trust the grocery store to sell good food. We also got salmon. It smelled weird and was kind of slimy but again, I figured it was fine. WRONG. We cooked the salmon, and re heated the crab legs by steaming them, and ate some… but our meal was short lived…. We have been so sick since. I went to toss out the crab and I realized the strong ammonia smell was COMING FROM THE CRABLEGS ! Absolutely DISGUSTING. The pot they were in REEKED.the crab legs REEKED. Between the slimy sour mushy salmon and the fishy, ammonia, spoiled crab legs, I will NEVER shop here again. Absolutely ATROCIOUS. Completely ruined our Thanksgiving and now we have to ride this out😭🤢I don’t think I’ll ever be able to eat seafood...

I went there yesterday to do my shopping and return the recycling I went in to the bottle room put in a couple of plastic bottles and the machine said it was full so I moved over to the other machine I put a couple more in and some cans it then said it was full so I push the cans in the store to ask for help I returned out side loaded all my cans in to the machine still no one came out I waited a few more minutes still no one so I parked my carriage in the counter and went back in to be put off because the girl at the desk was visiting with someone and just held her finger up to me she then went to the manager just standing at front of the register s to be told they had no one to do this job she is a manager she could do this job they did not do anything but she yelled across the store with attitude that she was sorry there was no one to do this so I am angry

I go back outside to find a man taking my plastic bottles for himself that they did not offer a remedy for this or go and put a sign in that room for other customer s is ridiculous counter service no longer means anything I am totally disgusted in they way...
