The manager or supervisor is unbelievable unhelpful and did not want to help me in any way possible but push me out of the store to get rid of me I brought to his attention. There was a mistake made on a warranty claim that I did back in 2023 on an air compressor. I buy multiple air compressors at this location and buy a warranty on all of them and when I found out that my warranty is no longer valid on the machine I have currently so I asked what’s going on and they can find nothing in the system about my warranty, but all they told me was it’s been exchanged When I told him I said, I should have a current warranty in the system for the machine. I have now two year warranty, so I looked back at all my records, and I found out that there was a mistake made a year prior and the Wrong warranty on the wrong air compressor I had two current active warrantees at the time of my 2023 exchange a 2021 warranty and a 2022 warranty and the end up using the most recent warranty so my old warranty ran out but that’s the one they were suppose to use as I bought in that air compressor that was purchased in 2021 so I brought in all my records third time I’ve been to the store showed him all my receipts, and all I got was a bunch of excuses and I am wrong. I even have a date stamped in my air compressor of when I purchased it.. (12-27-22 purchase ) i’m very surprised at their behavior. I was speaking to two people who told me nothing I was saying was correct. The fact that I spend money in there all the time I run a business is astounding. If They told me that there’s nothing they can do on their end, I can understand that, but tell me I’m wrong and there is no mistake made when I talked to the head office and they told me I was right and there was a mistake made please common really it’s so obviously, they don’t wanna honor...
   Read moreI love this chain, you can hardly beat their prices and overall quality for the tools that you get for those prices. No, this is not a premium brand store and there are some things that just aren't as good as say a snap on tool, but at the fraction of the price they cost they are more than enough for the average weekend warrior or even semi-professional customer.
Sometimes I run into problems with this store, with their display models. Often these are mangled, missing parts, and not really representative of what they're trying to sell. I can say with confidence this particular Harbor Freight was in great order, very clean, and most importantly the displays were good working order. If I was to have a singular complaint it was that there was almost no employees working on the floor, therefore very limited customer service assistance as may have been needed by a customer like myself.

   Read moreThey claim you can return items there for any reason within 90 days but that was not my experience. I bought a motorcycle carrier there last week. I tried it out but it wasn't for me. My motorcycle was bouncing around too much for my comfort and one of the tie downs came loose. I brought it back to the Killingly store. The assistant manager Jenn refused to take it back because it was used and it had a rust spot on it. It had a rust spot on it because I put it in my hitch as it is meant to be used. I told them how I tried it out but it wasn't something I felt safe using, she said the best she could do was to give me gift cards for the return and I could call the customer service hotline if I had an issue with that. I called the customer service hotline and they told me to try to return it to a different store. The next day I took it to the Windham store and let them know it wasn't something I would be using due to my concerns. They took it back no problem. I will only go to the Windham store...
