Petco — Local services in Killingly

Bought two $30 harnesses. Neither one of them worked. Went to see about returning them. Told them I did not have my receipt and simply asked if it was possible to look it up my card. The young lady working the counter called her supervisor Steve over who told me they can not do that and the most they would be able to do is give me store credit. I said okay. He than went on about how I'm not worth loosing his job over and he would never do that for me because I wasn't worth his job. Coming at me as though I argued the matter I than explained I understood when he said it the first time and did not appreciate his rudeness about the matter and he could have dropped it as "no we can't we can only give you store credit" as he rudely exclaimed in the first place. He did not drop the matter and continued to rant on about how we probably thought he we do that because others will and repeated how we were not worth loosing his job. Horrible customer service. Not sure why he is in management when it was quite evident he failed to manage him self in a proper way and continued to try to argue with a customer. Even after the customer asked him to stop ! Fortunately the young lady who was working was very nice...

AVOID EVERY OTHER SATURDAY. WHEN VETCO IS THERE. The techs are extremely rude. I'm disabled (one leg) My anxiety went through the roof. I have never felt so embarrassed, an wanted to cry. I took my dogs to Petco to return a harness an get a new one. Well the area they do shots is in the harness section. Well I went around the tech, cause my dogs have their shots. I went into the harness section. An the tech ran over to me asking if I have a appointment. I said no. She said well you have dogs. I said I always have my dogs, an they already have their shots. An she said I have to leave the area. Infront of everyone she was snapping at me. I said I'm here for a harness. She said I couldn't be there. I said I need a harness I bought the wrong one yesterday, an she's telling me I can't shop. Then She said oh you can shop. Not in this area. I again stated I'm here for a harness. An pointed around me. I got fed up. Went to the cashier an told the cashier what happened. An the cashier went an got a harness for me. Cause I couldn't be over there anymore. I wanted to cry so bad. This place has unique stuff but the prices are higher then going to small local pet shop who could use the buisness. The reptile bulbs are twice as much as anywhere else except pet smart!! Also i just got 10 gal fish tank for my 4 year old daughter 2 days ago and we got her a few goldfish from local pet store. So i took her to get a small snail or alge eater. Althought the lady was quite knowledgeable about fish. She was going on and on then tells me i need to upgrade bigger 20+ gal tank in a month or two and i shouldnt add anything else to tank with out even knowing what size the gold fish are. How bout just sell me the fish and leave me alone ? I didnt ask for help! Also im not raising these for fish market im not gonna upgrade nothing for long time she is 4 years old. Then i was told to buy big bag of basalt crushed rock for live plants. Cuz i dont have right substrate. I have right stuff aquaeon hydro balls and crushed substrate. But not that stuff.
