Kimball Fitness Center — Local services in Kimball

My wife and I moved from a populated area with a high end Golds gym, to the area. I am a 100% disabled veteran and there was one thing that is a requirement for anywhere I live. That requirement is a nice gym. You see, on my 4th tour in Afghanistan we were hit by an IED and subsequently I suffer from a Traumatic Brain Injury. Working out is the most important thing for my mental health and well-being. That being said, when we first moo ed here I questioned whether this tiny town would have the type of gym that I required. And I was absolutely surprised when I walked into the Kimball Fitness Center. This gym is quite a bit smaller than what I am accustomed to. With that being said, it has EVERYTHING that I need to get a good workout. It has a variety of equipment and enough weight and equipment for everyone from a novice to a serious fitness freak.

The staff are great!! Trey is very personable and always willing to lend anyone a hand. Whether it's a spot or if you want some information on a different exercise that you haven't thought of before. Jen is wonderful! She keeps the gym extremely clean and my wife says that she is very friendly and a joy to talk to while waiting for me to finish.

If there was one negative (and this isn't a ding on the gym), it's that the space is kinda small so they can't get all of the equipment that they would like to, within the space allotted. Hopefully, someday expanding is in the cards.

Overall, ANYONE, would be surprised as to how nice, clean, pleasant and top notch Kimball...

PREDATORY AND UNPROFESSIONAL! I went with the no-commitment membership which i paid $45.99 a month for. What I was not informed of was the ADDITIONAL $25.99/month “service fee” that is charged by the gym’s third party financial company, ABC Fitness Solutions. I have been calling the gym for the last 2 weeks to cancel my membership, have left multiple voicemails and I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE A RESPONSE! The gym’s “staffed hours” are from 10A-2P and have called within that timeframe almost every day for the last two weeks…I ended up contacting ABC Fitness to cancel only to learn that the cancellation wont go into effect until after 30 days, leaving me to pay for another month! If the gym was transparent about this upon signing up, I would be more forgiving, but nothing was mentioned and I didn’t even sign any paperwork that would list these things in their terms and conditions. The first (and only time) I spoke with the gym owner was when I signed up over the phone. I gave him my card details, he left me a key on the gym site to pick up and use but I was never given any terms and conditions of the gym (not even a digital one) and now Im stuck trying get out of this membership without paying for another month.

BE VERY CAUTIOUS IF THIS GYM IS YOUR...
