I'm not going to take up too much of your time but i wanted to write a review based upon my experience of this place today.
Now let me start off by saying that I have never purchased one single piece of furniture here, nor have I till today stepped foot into this furniture store.
let me explain a little back story first. I am in the US Army Reserves (Aviation) and I am a full time police officer locally and have been for the past 12 years.
I was ordered to active duty, May 2018 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and had to up root my boys and move them into my parents residence and place all of our furniture and personal belongings into a storage facility here in Kingwood.
Last Sunday I received a phone call from the storage facility saying that all tenants were needed to come and inspect their units for possible flood damage as their facility had taken allot of water during Imelda.
I inspected my storage unit and as many others, was a victim of the flooding and lost everything i.e., King size mattress, adjustable base, boys bunk beds, entertainment center, boys mattress, dining room table, my whole wardrobe and one of my shotguns with no flood coverage on the insurance provided by the storage facility.
Fast forward to today and after I got my haircut like I do twice a month at the Kingwood Barbershop.
I walked into Skero's Furniture for the first time ever.
I was approached by Tim the manager and I asked him if he knew of anything that would possibly kill mold that I could spray on furniture. Tim asked me what my situation was and I explained and he said wait a minute, he wanted to get the owner and stepped away for a second and next thing you know, I, was introduced to the owner Darren who right off the bat heard my situation and immediately wanted to help. I will not say what was discussed but I will say that Darren displayed one of the most important Army values and that was Selfless Service.
Before I left the store Darren presented me with a framed plaque with the US Army Flag in appreciation for my service.
I'm usually a very to myself kind of person and I honestly was taken back by his act of kindness.
I wanted to say thank you to Darren and Tim and this brief moment of my life I will forever remember. It is times like these that restore my faith in humanity.
I will forever be a customer of Skero's as I feel the owner truly extended his hand in friendship.
Respectfully and very...
Read moreThe Sales Staff were so patient, with my Daughter who has "Special Need's .They also, offered us bottled water, as we Toured their Store. My Daughter, Tina hopes to move "back home,"to Stoney Glen Manor." She needed a bed, I said, I know where to go. She also wanted what she calls, "an up and down bed". I wasn't sold on them, because of the cost. Until, I was told the bed also helps her sleep condition which requires a C-Pap machine .My daughter is also going thru a condition of excessive sweating. There is a "new mattress ". Which not only conforms to your own body shape. (What?) It "cools"you .I was blown away. My daughter will also have no more night sweat. Which really interrupts her sleep pattern . I really believe that other medical conditions, that we might have. could actually help the pain and discomfort we feel. Trying to sleep at night maybe even eliminate.
I'm going to discus with my Doctor . What She thinks ? My daughter will be able to sit up and read her Bible, comfortably. personality I believe we all need,God, in order to navigate our changing World Today. I know for my daughter who has lots of different medical issues. lt will be a joy to see her happy and to sleep comfortable. She can also watch her movies at night while eating popcorn in her new bed! I may have to buy one for myself. I probably won't though.Since I'm one of those Mother's who does for their child what they don't do for them Selves. Can you believe it ?I walked into store .Thinking? My Daughter doesn't really need this bed. Now, I'm telling everyone it's a medical necessity. I think even a deductible on our taxes. God works miracles. My Best Regards . Vivian...
Read moreI have only lived in Kingwood for a brief amount of time. While traveling up and down Northpark I’ve passed Skero’s multiple times. At a glance it appears to be a rather small furniture store. The storefront is tiny in comparison to the abundant supply of furnishings inside.
Skero’s stocks an array of beautiful, competitively priced home goods and furniture.
The customer service I experienced is beyond anything you’ll find at a big box store. I felt abundantly blessed to meet Jeremy, the sales manager. He was honest, informative, polite and respectful of my budget constraints. I never felt pressured in any way.
I had the pleasure of also meeting Jesse, a new addition to the Skero’s family. He was clearly happy at his new place of employment. That speaks volumes of the atmosphere within this company.
I purchased a bed and mattress shortly before closing and was given the option to have a home delivery immediately. Again, impressive. I opted to have delivery this morning.
My delivery crew was punctual, polite and pleasurable to interact with during a stressful period of my life.
I would highly recommend Skero’s to anyone looking for home furnishings,...
