I am beyond upset with my visit. It really sucks because the guy (son) who did my pedicure was really good. They're always really good with pedicures. It was amazing. Unfortunately it wasn't good enough to make up for my manicure experience. A woman who did my French tip dip was great last time. The man that did it this time (Lee) I don't know if his inexperienced or was just in a hurry and did not care anything about my nails. I had the most basic thing you could walk in and get. I just wanted dip with a purple French tip. No design no special shape. Just rounded edges. They call it a round square but they're already square so they just round the edges. So when he asked me what shape I wanted I told him rounded square. I just wanted to edges rounded a bit. He repeated my request has rounded square and then proceeded to cut them into coffin shapes. I asked him what he was doing and why he was using a coffin shape when I specifically asked for rounded square and I was told the coffin would look better. He literally did what he wanted to my nails. When applying the tips he had to take one completely off only after I pointed out that it was completely and did not want him to start dip it And he had to redo that one nail completely. Then when he started dipping he did so very unevenly or unsmoothly. I had thicker dip in areas on my finger which resulted in extremely lumpy nails. Not even mentioning the fact that I did not get a choice on my base color and would have definitely went with a natural but instead I've got a peah/brown color for the base of my color for the base of my purple French tip. I waited to see if he was going to fix the lumpiness of my nails since they were so drastic and I assume that he saw it and I'm always so nervous to complain or even to tell somebody what I want, but I do know to be thorough in my description of what I want. I'm very specific it was simple but I was specific on what I wanted. but he did not intend to fix then until I asked him about it. He seemed to get very irritated with me but I didn't want the outcome product to be sideways extremely lumpy nails. So he then had to write on an extra 45 minutes fixing the lumpy nails because they were so bad he had to go back through and use the drill on them to try to smooth them out and then re-dipped them however it was still much lumpier that I've ever had them before I just didn't say anything since it was much better that before he attempted to smooth them. While he was using the drill every single time it was painful. He was not gentle at all and really dug into my cuticles. He used the drill to go around the side of my fingernail but pressed it into my skin on every single nail and kept catching the drill on the end of my fingernail which kept sending my finger or fingernail backwards because of the power of the drill. So when they apply anything like fingernail polish remover it burns really bad because your fingernails and cuticle are tore up. Lastly the actual French tip part is very sloppy. Some sides are longer than the others it's kind of a lopsided curve on almost all of my nails. I can tell that he was rushing through it as he painted them. I'll honestly probably would just go home and repaint them myself. Thankfully I got a discount for my birthday apparently otherwise I would have raised a much bigger issue with my experience then I did but it ruined my birthday nails and I'm very sad and irritated that they would be so careless. I'm not saying don't go here. I'm saying go here for the pedicures and talk to a friend that goes here or research who you want to do your manicure...
Read moreYears ago I went every other week to the owner and loved this salon I am saddened that I will NEVER. Be back after this experience.
I went in for a pedicure and full set. Pedicure was fine. Full set looked like clown nails. I kept telling the guy my nails- the base color wasn’t dark enough and had in picture of what I wanted and kept telling him. He did not offer to stop and fix it he told me at then end they would look like my photo I wanted. Well when done they are purple and pink not brown to blackish purple like I wanted to so tell them I am unhappy and want them redone or taken off. So they proceed to try to airbrush over the base dip color instead of redoing the base color which is what was needed. When he is finished my nails look even more like clown nails and now were orange and purple not brown to black ombré. So I again let them know I am unhappy. I told then they looked so bad I didn’t want to leave the salon so I wanted them redone completely or taken off. They soak then off hatfully then let me know that I will be paying for the soak off (after it’s done) even though my nails looked so bad I refused to even leave. I told them I would not pay for the soak off then was told I either pay or call the cops. So then I paid and told them I’d dispute with my credit card company. Lucky my dad owns auto parts locators and has a lawyer paid up at all times to deal with these things I asked to speak to the owner who used to do my nails and was refused to talk with the owner. Then when they realized I was serious I get a call quick from the owner.he even texted me asking me to call him. This is bad customer service I should have been able to talk to the owner about my issue especially when I know him and he did my nails himself for years. I know he would not be ok with what happened and once he talked to me he was not on with it.
The owner also knew there was health code violations in his salon he acknowledged that when I brought up the uncleanliness and several other things
Also let me be clear I had no issue paying for the pedicure just the nails that where so bad I was embarrassed to leave with them
Besides this the nail salon was gross there was nastiness on the walls beside where I go my pedicure and it was very unclean in other areas as well. Staff were standing in the back talking not doing their job when I went back in for a business card no one was upfront they were in the back on their phones outside the back door which was open
Also, the girl in the front knew that I did not know about the new pedicure pricing because when I called, I told her an old package that they no longer have she sat me down in the chair without even having me pick a new package or telling me that gel nails were 15 extra Which would have been fine if she just did her and made sure I knew or even cared to make sure she knew which pedicure I wanted if I had not went back upfront to tell her which pedicure I wanted they probably would’ve just charged me for the most expensive one Because they definitely weren’t going to ask me until I brought it up and got back out of the chair and went up front to look at the packages The only reason I questioned it is because I heard that people beside me choosing...

First of all, my nails are gorgeous in these photos because of Will. He really took his time shaping my stilettos and gave them an amazing point with the filing he did. I'm grateful he took over (I originally booked with Anna) and gave me the nicest stiletto shape I've ever had. (And I appreciate him letting me have my fruity nails without too many questions about why two of the nail shapes are different).
I also really enjoy the pedicure service at Broadway, and it seems to be the best quality at the best price for the area.
However, when I came in with my acrylics, I had just my natural nail as I had just started getting my nails done in December, and this is my first time having length to my nails. My natural nails had started to peel from my acrylics slightly, and having the curl to my nails was not my favorite thing, so I needed my acrylics removed before reapplying with extensions instead of my natural nail.
My acrylics were removed by pushing an extension under the acrylic and pulling them off instead of soaking them off or filing them down. This physically hurt, and I can only imagine the damage done to my natural nails by having the acrylics ripped off.
I also had a green spot that had formed on one of my fingers because of the acrylics peeling, and nothing was done with it to file it down, dry it out, or otherwise treat it.
After getting the acrylics removed, nail extensions were glued on, and acrylic applied over top. I am much happier with the straighter nail shape from the nail extensions vs the curling down that was happening from my natural nails.
But, there was already a small gap between the acrylics and my natural nails before leaving the salon, which I was extra afraid of after the green nail.
After the acrylics were applied and starting to get shaped was when Will took over, and I could see a large difference in the way he took care to shape the nails. I don't know if perhaps I had just been booked with Will to begin with I wouldn't have had the previous problems.
I left with a beautiful shape and colors from Will and ended up filling the gap in between my nails with polish on my own at home because I do adore the nails and didn't want to have to try to get them fixed again.
I also painted them black on the underside (over the clear polish I used to fill the gaps of my nails) and this made them look much neater as it helps cover the harsh transition between the natural nails that were left and the acrylics.
After this experience, I've decided to just learn to do gel-x at home. I love having the extensions and pretty gel colors, but I don't want to pay extra to have my nails damaged at the salon, needing to touch them up at home anyways, and keep getting gaps that promote green nails.
(If I really needed my nails done quickly / in an emergency, I would probably...
