Some of the staff could definitely be more friendly and learn to speak English at least a little better. The store could use some updated remodeling cuz it's as old as the Inskip neighborhood. And I wish they had prices on all items. Cuz taking something up front to ask how much it is, gets old. There are a couple of good things about Inskip Mrkt, tho. There is one guy that works there that is really nice. He may not speak perfect English, but he speaks enough to be understood easily. He makes eye contact, always smiles, and tells me (& every other customer-@ least to my knowledge) "Thank you" & "Have a good day" or something like that. There's been a few times when (either myself or) one of my 3 kids.. usually my youngest, which is my daughter, have been there, attempting to purchase a soda or a pack of gum or something like that, and that really nice guy would be working. We'd go up to the counter to pay and when he told her the total, she would end up being maybe .10¢, .15¢, up to close to .50¢ short. If I didn't have the amount she needed (&/or if no one else, like a customer, didn't have it) that nice guy (I know his name, but I'm not gonna say it on here) would just take the amount she did have and he'd say something like, "That's good enough. It's ok, don't worry about the rest" & then he'd smile and tell us thank you and to have a great day! Don't get me wrong... he hasn't done that more than just a few times. And not back to back. We don't go in there expecting it. Plus, that's not how I've raised my kids, nor how I was raised. And most of the times that he has done that, it's only been if we're like just 5-10¢ short. Even if he never did that, his personality (or at least what he shows while working) makes him pretty much my favorite worker there! And he seems to be a lot of people's favorite. For the "regulars" that come in weekly, several times a week, daily, or even several times a day... they all walk in, see him working, and say "Hey John*! How's it going?" And he may not know everyone by their name, but he knows faces and always smiles and says hello to each of them. I've even heard customers ask him "personal" questions like "How's your *His name isn't John. Like I said, I won't share his name on here, publicly. Just out if consideration. Anyways, 2 other reasons I do like this place... 1 is because it's convenient for me... walking distance from my house. I've been in or around this neighborhood since 1983... when I was 3 yrs old. So, it's kinda grown on me. đ And I'm a smoker. The brand of cigarettes that I smoke (L & M) is cheaper here than anywhere else that I've tried. At least 20¢ cheaper than Pilot and Weigel's. And for you smokers, you know that 20¢ is freaking 20¢ & every penny...
Read moreHorrible! I went on my lunch break to get gas and a burger. I parked at the pump, went to order my food, paid, and pumped gas. I went back in and the lady preparing food orders was still working on the same previous order (before I even ordered). She was slow and very unprofessional. Then, management refused to address the situation, no apology was given, which caused me to flip. I've never had a issue here but obviously management has changed since the last time I was in this establishment. Unfortunately, this will be my last. P.s. the...
Read moreUsually pretty bad service, but it was even worse today. I called today, 7/6/21, around 2:40, and asked a very simple question, the price of the vaporizer batteries that they have sitting on their counter. The rude woman that answered the phone told me she "works in the deli" and she doesn't think that the other people there will understand and she doesn't have time to help me so I'll just have to come. Terrible customer service, I'd fire her for sure. Not good service on a regular basis, but that was just...
