No stars for Kroger in Knoxville and especially Door Dash in Knoxville, TN. Ordered chocolate covered strawberries for my daughter's birthday to deliver today, along with roses. Delivered them to Altar'd State Corporate headquarters and they arrived broken, melted, and oozing--looked horrible, ruined. Spent two hours on online chats and phone calls with Door Dash and called Cedar Bluff store floral who said 'they were the last ones they had and they were in tact when she gave them to the driver." Noone at Door Dash or Kroger would take responsibility and re-deliver intact strawberries to her on her birthday. Then Doordash said they will only refund me $10 (I paid over $15, plus fees, plus delivery and tip for destroyed birthday chocolate strawberries). Overseas reps for hours, not helping at all, barely understandable, and no resolution. Asked 10 times for it to be escalated. Very, very disappointing, and the worst customer experience I've ever had. Not one person involved in the entire thing cared at all about their customer experience, my daughter's birthday, my financial investment, my time investment, or what this looks like for Door Dash and Kroger. Such a shame that businesses no longer take responsibility for their products and customer service/customer experience. Was ripped off today, and left with a very disapointed daughter on her birthday. My only option is to review it and let people in Knoxville know to not bother with special occasions with Door Dash and Kroger in Knoxville, TN. Very disappointing. It would not let me post a photo of them that we took, but they look beyond horrible.
I have sent the following response to DoorDash: I've made the decision to take this to your Corporate offices executive staff, with a full transcript and explanation of the horrible customer service I've received with no just refund or re-delivery of the quality product I ordered and paid for. I have also began my review process on line with google, Kroger, DoorDash, and many, many other social media and review websites. Your lack of professionalism, horrible customer service, and ripping off of my money is now being shared with the entire United States and I will never use Door Dash or Kroger again. I have called, and escalated an email to the Kroger store the chocolate covered strawberries were picked up from, and am currently writing a letter to the executives at DoorDash in San Francisco.
They need to know what a customer like us has went through, and how the outsourced horrible system they have in place negligently operates in real time. You all have ripped me off, ruined my daughter's birthday, and I'm not going to let you get away with it. Hopefully they can bring their business back to the US and maybe your processes and lack of customer service and satisfaction can be improved. From what I see, it looks tremendously hopeless. I will be encouraging everyone in my multiple reviews online to never use DoorDash in Knoxville, or Kroger in Knoxville, again (especially on a special occasion). DoorDash and Kroger have failed...
Read moreI was ready to pay for my purchases at the self-check-out line when I noticed a price difference on one item from what was advertised on the rack and what showed on my screen. Politely I called the attendant, Kim is his name, to help me with this matter and he said to me: "Let's go and check the price!" which I didn't care to follow him verifying the price since I know what I bought and saw what price was advertised. Obviously I was right of what I saw! Kroger employees placed this item on the wrong rack and he explained to me that my item was not part of that sale. Everybody makes mistakes, we're just humans, we're not perfect, so I didn't get mad, I just grabbed the one he said was on promotion for sure and went on from there. On the way back to the self-check-out register we passed the Customer Service desk where Curtis was on duty. At this time, purposely Kim let me go in front of him and behind my back he YELLED: "Hey Curtis!”, and he pointed at me and exchanging accusatory looks toward me, like I was some Kind of felon or offender… I saw this because I thought it was weird he just decided to let me go first, when all this time he was in front of me, and then when he yelled at Curtis I was sure something was fishy with his behavior and they laughed at/about me! Then I remember few months back I encountered an awkward situation with Curtis as well when I stopped to return a rotten pineapple, at that time he was rude/rushing me and almost accusing being my fault. I didn’t appreciate his behavior then either, however, I say again, we are just humans and I thought at the time he might have had a bad day; until I put the puzzle together and realized those two rude/unprofessional/unhelpful employees were talking about me before too, and I felt like I was stalked when I came in your store as I shop here pretty often and spent over $10,000 in the last 24 months! I just hope Kroger’s HR or whoever selects the future employees will pay better attention and hire good quality people, and get rid of those who are not at customer service standards, as those two, who just run customers away to other stores! As myself, because of those incidents, I shop more often now at Aldi, Walmart and other Kroger in the area with nicer/helpful/polite/educated employees. Sorry Kroger 9225 Kingston Pike, I hope you’ll do something about this issues, then I might come back! P.S. My feelings are really hurt at this moment, however as a Christian my duty is to forgive them, albeit forgiveness doesn’t excuse their behavior. Forgiveness prevents their behavior from destroying my heart. I am a good enough person to forgive you. But not stupid enough to...
Read moreThis is my normal go to Krogers and everything is usually just great! Unfortunately, I went through a not so great experience tonight with the gas station. So I get there at 9:52 pm exactly (I know because I got off work at 9:50 and am a server right around the corner) I start walking out as she’s locking up the snacks and she proceeds to tell me the till is already put up and she can’t accept cash, the problem is I am a server and all my money is cash. I then state that there are still 10 minutes till close so that doesn’t make sense why I can not purchase gas during business hours, she mutters a few things that I didn’t catch under her breath and I said excuse me I didn’t hear what you said and she just goes have a good night. I then ask her multiple times for her name which she blatantly ignored me. She then goes on about how she works 3 jobs and is in school and she wants to leave right at 10 so she doesn’t have time to deal with cash 5 minutes till close. I said well maybe you shouldn’t work a closing shift if you can’t work till closing time. She then says well you can’t always get what you want and I reply with maybe not but I should be able to pay for what I need during business hours. Not to mention 2 other cars pulled up and had to leave during all this because they were cash only as well. I proceeded to call the manager on duty who told me that they have had these problems with Molly before and that they will put this on record. I understand the frustration with people that come in right before close, I’m a server and people do it all the time but I still wait on them with a smile and end up staying 30 minutes after because I have to wait for them to finish their meal. I had to drive 20 minutes home on E to wait for tomorrow because I wanted to fill up using my Kroger points that I earned. Disappointed to...
