Gordon Food Service Store — Local services in Knoxville

I shop at this store frequently. The product, selection, and prices are great. The issue is the cashier that seems to run the only register they have open. She is rude, condescending, and unprofessional.

They overcharged me for a case of french fries, I went and took a picture of the tag and brought it to her attention. Instead of "I'm sorry for the inconvenience" I get " Why did you not tell when I rang it up?!". This interaction happened in front of one the managers at the service desk, he just nodded his head and ignored the situation. She never apologized and when I said something she acted like I was rude for mentioning it.

Another occasion I need a case of lids and they only had the open case on the shelf. They were $1.39 each, or $43 for a case of 500. I asked could I buy what they had and just be charged a percentage of the case price (they had 450). The clerk in the aisles said sure, they had done that before, no issue. I get to the register and explain that to the cashier and she says, "I have never heard of that, we can't do that." I go back and get the aisle clerk who opens another register and rings me up like we discussed. She basically just refused to help with the situation or even tried to learn how to do it for another customer who had the same issue in the future.

I called GFS and customer service after the price discrepency issue. I never said anything to her before, but the accusation instead of an apology was the last straw for me.

Update- 98 views in a month GFS. You never returned my call. Regretting that yet? I have not shopped here since...

This is the far worst Food Service store, We are opening a couple of Brand franchise in TN and wanting to see what this store has, we walked in and this guy with a stain on his face was standing in the aisle and we asked him “Excuse me Sir do you work here and he replied there are other 5 of us go and ask them, Guy next to him even said why don’t you answer. Listen buddy even if you are manager doesn’t matter. You’re just a tiny drop in a bucket against many other better Food Service industries who take pride in Excellent customer service. Thanks but no thanks I won’t even spend a dime here not only customer service is bad but their prices are higher as well, Customers please do your thorough research and due diligence before spending your hard earned money to this store. Go to other wholesale big box stores in the area will save you more...

This isn't going to be a store for everyone but having a huge party, in charge of a large church food gathering, own a food truck??? This is your spot. Need 5 lbs of precooked taco meat, 20lbs of burgers, nacho cheese by the gallon, shaved ice flavors by the gallon, soda bags for carbonated drink dispensers, candy for fund raisers, and about anything else in bulk above and beyond Sam's club? GORDONS is for you! This is more based on business needs over family. Many local restaurants and food trucks buy here and for good reason.

Stop in when your close by and take a look. No memberships, no hassles, but good bulk deals. But honestly I would never find a use for 5 gallons of ranch but it's there if...
