Kokomo Place — Local services in Kokomo

My father has dementia and we brought him to this home to help assist him for his medical needs. Our main reasoning for placing him here was the fact they had not had any covid cases. Now after just barely a week half the staff and patients are possitive. We tried to pull him out of there for several days but the staff gave us misleading information. He tested negative on Friday but we were not able to get him out until the following Wednesday. Now he tests positive and is high risk. The lack of information provided to us and the lack of communication between the staff is terrible. I understand they are very short staffed because of the covid but they really should have had some kind of contengincy plan. These are people's lives! We will not return our father here...

The staff at Kokomo Place are incredibly caring, supportive, and kind. As they cared for my father during the last few months of his life, they were attentive, loving, and knowledgable.
